hey this is super useful! my friend works in an environment where a majority of his coworkers speak in mandarin, loss of confidence is just a small slice of the pie. it actually affects work productivity because you just. don't. understand. what they're saying verbally. this could really be a game changer! is it able to detect heavy accents?
@chloe_law That's such a great use case! The multilingual feature is still relatively new for us, so we don't have much data yet regarding accents, etc. We're happy to give your friend a free license in return for some testing feedback.

@zishaniqbal Great question! We have a large matrix of relevant prompts, covering many different meeting scenarios. That, combined with the powerful LLM that we use, ensures very relevant, domain expertise specific answers.
@wanx11 That would be awesome. We do have on the roadmap the ability to group meetings together, so that Hedy can tap into the shared knowledge/context... that might get us part of the way there.

Feels good, but there are quite a few similar apps out there. Can you elaborate on what sets you apart from them? @julian_pscheid
Great question, @lxfater. The space is indeed crowded with meeting apps. We believe Hedy is unique in a few ways:
1) Strong focus on real-time feedback and advice. Most meeting tools provide insight and summaries after a meeting. Hedy provides unique insights in real-time during the meeting.
2) Having the app on your mobile device with local processing. This opens up use cases that many tools cannot address if they require running on a desktop. Although we do still provide a browser UI for users that need to look at their desktop/laptop screen.
3) Multilingual support: Hedy allows joining a meeting in one language, and conversing with Hedy in another language. There are so many use cases for this, such as foreign students, or non-native speakers in business meetings.

This is extremely cool! Any plans for plugins with Zoom etc? I can see this particularly useful in edtech settings where they're doing video calls (lots of universities that do online ed)
@adammorgan Great question! We do have native desktop apps on our roadmap that will simply run aside any video calling / conference app. For now Hedy can join an online meeting/class by placing the phone app where it can hear the speaker.

I am right now, today, emceeing the Chief AI Officer Summit in DC... We have been complaining about AI's impact on meetings. So I'm super curious about this and want to learn more.
