by
grapl helps grapplers turn scattered techniques and training notes into a structured path for improvement. Unlike generic note-taking, video, or fitness apps, grapl combines curriculum building, training objectives, roll logs, coach feedback, AI-powered insights, and a growing technique library in one platform. Built by grapplers for grapplers, it focuses on helping users organize their game, identify gaps, measure progress, and train with greater purpose.

As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, I realized that while there is an endless amount of instructional content available, many grapplers struggle to turn that information into a structured path for improvement. Techniques were scattered across videos, social media, notebooks, and memory, making it difficult to identify what to focus on next and whether real progress was being made. My co-founder and I built grapl to help solve that problem. We wanted a platform that could help grapplers organize their game, track training, set objectives, review rolls, and train with greater purpose. Our approach evolved significantly during development. What started as a broader platform that included academy management features gradually became focused on the individual grappler. Through conversations with coaches, competitors, hobbyists, and beta testers, we learned that the biggest opportunity was helping students create structure around their own development. That feedback shaped grapl into the training and learning platform it is today, and we continue to refine it based on input from the grappling community.
