This curation is excellent, can’t wait to see the paid membership combine those resources with something like a syllabus .
Skylor
@percussivetouch we actually started by creating courses and workshops with a syllabus and will happily share these with you and our members. We decided to go with the YouTube style layout as we wanted you to be able to learn the way you want. No lectures. No forced syllabus. No homework. No tests. Just a focus on tangible outcomes and results. We used Y Combinator as a baseline here. YC doesn't give you a course or tell you how you need to build your startup. They enable founders to self-direct their education based on their own skills & interests, with guidance from experts. We're trying to build something similar for folks outside Silicon Valley

@james_skylor nice approach! i guess i was both thinking quickly and assuming folks needed achievements through some suggested tracks. My b.

Hey everyone! 👋 One of my favorite passions is helping start and grow startups. I especially love helping founders in their early days of ideation, building product, growing revenue, solving churn, and finding product/market fit. Our ultimate goal with GradSchool is to help more people build better companies. You can access all the resources and content, and join our community for FREE. This is V1, I’ll be adding to this every week so expect to see some improvements and changes. People can upgrade to our paid membership which gives you: - Access to additional live office hours (min. weekly) - Expanded access to expert-led workshops + Q&A - Access to our private community and member directory - Opportunities to collaborate with other members - Regular 1:1 introductions to other GradSchool members and the broader community - Deals and discounts on tools that matter (covers cost of membership) If you sign up, DM me saying you came from PH and let me know what you want for your perk. Current members include alumni from Y Combinator, Google, Facebook, Demand Curve and more. Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback below 🙏

This is like netflix for makers, founders & hustlers.. but only better. I loved that I can find all the content that will truly serve me, at one place. All the best @james_skylor
Skylor
@priyanain thank you! Happy to hear you like it and see you join the community 👏

That is very interesting. Is GradSchool free?
Skylor
@mikeyeva Yes you can consume all the content you want and join the community for free by clicking 'start here' and then 'join free community' on our homepage. We offer a $30/mo premium membership (which we offset via our deals & discounts) for those who want regular facetime during office hours and access to live expert-led workshops.

@james_skylor Sounds really cool. Thanks!

Good curation of content. Community sounds cool, too. Are you on webflow?
Deep Kakkad
@mayur_patel16 Thanks. Yes, we're no-code. Webflow & circle. Thanks for the kind words :)
Travis
A return to working for ourselves. Hell yeah!
Skylor

Hey PH! I've always found that I solved problems the quickest when there was someone with experience with it or there was an awesome piece of content. Whenever I came upon something, I'd share it with my coworkers immediately and we'd work this new information into what we were currently building. The problem was that it was time consuming to find all of this. Typically I just came upon it by chance. This is why I built GradSchool - to help make solving entrepreneurial problems faster, easier, and without all the noise. If this excites you, come along for the ride 🏎️😎🧰
Girdharee Saran
Glad that I found and joined it. How do you ensure content quality?
Skylor
@giri Happy to have you aboard 🙏🎉. We curated content that we found most useful and that we genuinely enjoyed consuming. We'll be adding to it every week so you'll see more soon!
Girdharee Saran
@james_skylor Ok. Does that mean no community sourced content?
Skylor
@giri the community can submit their favorite content for us to review and upload to the platform
Paresh Deshmukh
Now that many students are taking a gap year this year, it'd be really helpful for everyone! Thanks for creating this.
Skylor
@paresh_deshmukh that's exactly why we wanted to put this out and into the world. Hope to see you inside the community🙏👏
