Google Allo - Smart messaging app that helps you say more and do more.

As much as I like Allo, the biggest challenge with Allo (and Duo) is user-adoption. With Whatsapp becoming so prevalent and iOS users using iMessage, this really needs to be integrated into a singular view (atleast on Android). Perhaps then we can have more people using it (hardly a handful of people have this installed right now from my contact list, so unless there was an auto migration from Hangouts, I find very few opportunities to actually use these apps (even though I'd love to).

I'm really sad they backtracked on storing messages in transit only considering what a hot button topic security and privacy is right now

Can't think of where they got this idea! Maybe something that just released, recently...

It looks great! As I understood it is possible to integrate with all Google services, am I right?

Google needs to simplify its portfolio on IM apps.. And why would I replace Whatsapp (primarily text) or Snapchat (Skype substitute on mobile) with Allo!!
