@chrismessina Some of my Googler buddies say Google AI is superior -- but they are scared to release it because they don't want it to cannibalize search, their cash cow.

@chrismessina Looks like a strong step forward from PaLM, with some areas where PaLM2 beats GPT4. Can't wait to see how Gemini and ChatGPT compare on multi-modal. The pace of progress is amazing. With the usual benchmarking caveats, PaLM2 SOTA on Common Sense Reasoning (WinoGrande, XCopa, StrategyQA), behind GPT4 on language understanding (MMLU 86 vs 81), exciting on coding and multi-lingual. https://www.reddit.com/r/singula... https://ai.google/static/documen... Hey! Congratulations on the launch! Tell me please how good is the translation quality? I'm planning to create different languages AppStore and Google Play pages but I afraid that bad translation could hurt native speakers.

@dzianis_yatsenka I imagine they're quite good, but it depends on what other translation service you're comparing it to...
