So Google IO presented an opportunity for Google to catch to OpenAI — do we think ?
Some of my Googler buddies say Google AI is superior -- but they are scared to release it because they don't want it to cannibalize search, their cash cow.
Looks like a strong step forward from PaLM, with some areas where PaLM2 beats GPT4. Can't wait to see how Gemini and ChatGPT compare on multi-modal. The pace of progress is amazing. With the usual benchmarking caveats, PaLM2 SOTA on Common Sense Reasoning (WinoGrande, XCopa, StrategyQA), behind GPT4 on language understanding (MMLU 86 vs 81), exciting on coding and multi-lingual. Having this right in gmail is going to save a lot of emailing time.
Hello! Congratulation on the launch, big day! My question is: who is your customer? how are you going to reach out to him?
You do know this is Google, right?
The google IO keynote dropped so many bomb! It was a lot to take in, now let's see how they are in action.
Hey! Congratulations on the launch! Tell me please how good is the translation quality? I'm planning to create different languages AppStore and Google Play pages but I afraid that bad translation could hurt native speakers.
I imagine they're quite good, but it depends on what other translation service you're comparing it to...
oh wow! go ahead google. always pumping out the next best thing. I am very impressed and hope that this PaLm 2 lives up to all of the hype.
verrrrry interested to see how this stacks up against OpenAI… 👀
Great job on the launch of PaLM 2! It's an amazing product that is excels at advanced reasoning tasks!

Curious how this will take on ChatGPT, exciting times!
Excited to test it and compare it to ChatGPT. I would like to have a partner to write better code
