Hello PH! I’m Mark, co-founder and CTO of Goody.
Goody started out as a consumer gifting app. Then we noticed that professionals were using our app to get around some of the problems of business gifting:
- 🚮 It’s wasteful: Every year, companies squander so many resources (financial and physical) sending gifts people don’t want — or don’t even receive.
- 💤 It’s boring: Generic brands, tacky gifts, impersonal cards. Gifts should surprise and delight.
- 🤯 It’s manual: You have to worry about shipping addresses, tracking numbers, t-shirt sizes, allergies. If you’re a global team trying to gift across borders, good luck!
We’re aiming to solve all of these problems and bring a consumer-grade gift experience to the business world:
1. Curated, trendy gift brands that will really delight your recipient, like Levain Bakery cookies, Ember mugs, Graza olive oil, or Therabody tech.
2. People can swap gifts for equal or lower-priced options — and about 50% actually do.
3. Recipients provide their own shipping info. They also choose gift options like size, color, or flavor, when applicable.
4. You only pay for gifts that people accept. This saves most companies 10-30% vs. conventional gifts.

- It’s free to sign up and send unlimited gifts. Plus you get a $20 gift credit when you create a business account.
- Our paid business plans unlock additional features like sending international gifts to 140+ countries, automating gifts for employees’ birthdays or work anniversaries, setting budgets, sending many gifts at once via CSV upload, and integrations with Calendly, Salesforce, and 30+ HR platforms.

I have used this product several times, and I have always been impressed with how simple and effective it is. For example, when my dog lost their collar, and someone found it, I was able to use this product to text them without needing any personal information. This not only helped me get my dog's collar back, but it also made me feel more connected. Goody is a fantastic and helpful tool that I will continue to use in the future.

@lisa_l97 Hi Lisa - We have both! Most of our gifts are physical gifts, but we also offer digital gift cards and other virtual gifts like digital subscriptions.
Your recipient gets a digital gift notification and a beautiful card instantly. Then they can accept or swap their gift for something else if they prefer. They provide their shipping info and then it's shipped to them. You only pay after they accept your gift.

i’m someone that’s very hard to buy gifts for. i love receiving gifts from Goody, as i can swap the gift that someone’s sent me, without feeling bad. the user experience is also great.
i’ve already seen a few businesses hacking this usecase before this b2b launch. but some of these business focused features like international shipping etc sound great
@_jacksmith Thank you! I'm always amazed by how often people do swap gifts (~50%).. As a gift giver, it's a great feeling knowing that your gift is what someone really wants and won't end up in a landfill.

Thank you, @sahil_mittal2! At the moment, Goody is best for US-based companies doing corporate gifting. You will need a US credit card to check out.
So if you're in India and sending gifts to folks in the US -- and your firm has access to a US credit card for billing -- then Goody could work great. But if you're in India sending gifts to people in India, we don't yet support you.
However we're working hard to change that. Our own workforce is global and we want to be too!

One a sidenote, really curious about the ops side of your business. How do you ensure the gifts actually reach the prospects and the 3PL partners don't fuckup?
How do you deliver them physically?

That's a great question. When you gift with Goody, the prospects themselves must accept your gift and provide their own shipping details. Which of course helps enormously in ensuring gifts reach their destinations -- especially in this era of remote work when many people are digital nomads.
When orders are confirmed, they ship directly from the brands on our platform. We provide tracking to the recipient and let you follow the progress of your gift. So you, the sender, never has to worry about tracking numbers or logistics. Goody handles it all!
If anything goes wrong, we field the customer support.

We LOVE Goody!! My mother in law is a power user which works great for me :) and I use it for almost all of my gifting needs. Such great diversity of brands, price points, and ability to filter fit brand attributes like sustainability and female founded .
