Goldfish - Press Option. It knows your work and replies like you

Hi. This is such an interesting product. Im a university student at the moment so I can already see goldfish helping me in replying to professors on teams messages, my group chats, all of it. I was really surprised at how quickly it picked up my recent work including tabs that are open and my personality in general. (a little creepy, i must say, that it'd lead me to double check and read your privacy policy) but it was still pretty neat and efficient onboarding. It also picked up cultural/language differences between chats. One thing that I didn't like was that when i was editing a draft of my writing on medium, goldfish took the entire text field as a text box to format and edit which is also a little scary if Im working on something that doesn't have autosave drafts on, is there a revert option on goldfish edits?

I have one question, if I do side marketing work and I have, say, my clients linkedin and instagram open on my browser, won't goldfish kind of mix the data. like my device is a mess with various people's socials open at any given time so even the onboarding process involving linkedin involved using a clients and i wonder what effect constant back and forth between socials and various post/text-boxes has on goldfish's data on me.

I truly enjoyed trying Goldfish and found value in the results and assistance it provided, but the UI living in the notch caused me to disable it. If there is an alternate method for the UI/UX I would love to try it again.

Congrats on the launch! I like the direction here, especially the way Goldfish sits in the current text field instead of making users move everything into another chatbot.

The “right context, right slice” problem feels like the key challenge. If it can reliably choose between the current thread, recent work, and longer-term memory without confidently pulling in the wrong detail, this could become very sticky.

Also appreciate the local-first approach. For a tool that reads messy work across apps, trust and control are not nice-to-haves. They are the product.

The onboarding is amazing. I honestly can’t express enough how much I loved it.

The fish, the interactive real videos, the whole flow, it all feels great. Minimum I can say

I’ve been using Goldfish for a few days now and I love it. I’ve already recommended it to friends, and it’s been genuinely useful in my day-to-day workflow.

The only thing I’d really like is some kind of visual feedback when using Dictate with the microphone. Just a small indicator that it’s listening or processing would make that flow feel clearer. Congrats on the launch!

This is awesome. Writing has never exactly been my strong suit, so having something that already understands the context and helps me sound like a functional adult is extremely useful.

Also, full disclosure: I may or may not be using Goldfish to write this comment about Goldfish, which feels a little like asking a mirror if your haircut looks good.

The part that really clicks is not having to do the usual AI ritual of copy thread, paste thread, explain thread, apologize to the robot for the messy thread, then ask for a reply. Pressing Option in the text field and having it already know what I’m responding to feels like the way this should have worked from the beginning.

Very cool product. Slightly spooky in the “wait, that was actually helpful” way, but mostly just useful.
