GitQuest helps you learn Git by practicing, not watching tutorials.
Solve interactive investigations in a simulated terminal, make mistakes safely, and build real Git skills step by step.
Includes a mobile app, daily challenges, and a certificate.
Free and accessible to everyone
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built GitQuest because I saw too many people "learning Git" without ever really understanding it.
Most tutorials are passive. You watch, you copy, and when something breaks… you’re stuck.
So I built a different approach:
→ a simulated terminal where you can practice safely
→ investigations instead of lessons
→ real mistakes, real understanding
GitQuest is:
- free
- available on web + mobile
- designed for beginners and developers who want to really get Git
I’d love your feedback 🙏
What do you struggle with when using Git?

I still remember how nerve wracking learning Git was, making it easy for beginners was much needed.
One question though, are browser and phone versions significantly different from each other?
The web version is more like an introduction: it lets you discover Git concepts and try a few exercises.
But the real learning experience is on mobile (iOS & Android). The app is built around practice, with a simulated terminal, guided scenarios, and a more immersive, game-like approach. That’s where beginners really start to feel comfortable using Git.

@prateek_kumar28 Yes, they’re quite different 🙂
