GitMeter

Why I built GitMeter to discover rising GitHub projects?

by

I built GitMeter because static GitHub star counts never felt enough.

They show popularity, but not momentum. I wanted a way to discover open-source projects that are rising now, not only the ones that have already become obvious.

GitMeter tracks repository growth with daily snapshots and surfaces projects through daily, weekly, monthly, and hot rankings.

I’d love to learn from how others discover new repos:

- Do you care more about stars, growth, recency, or something else?

- What makes a project feel worth paying attention to early?
