A powerful new editor, multi-language support, custom homepages, dynamic routes, custom structures and much more. Ghost 2.0 is an upgrade which is focused on power and flexibility.
Have the setup docs been updated? we sent a dev a on a ghost-setup goose chase and he ran into some errors setting up the environment after having to make assumptions due to lack of good documentation. Wish I had a better description of what went wrong, but it was quite frustrating for us.
@evan_farrell The docs have been extensively updated and are readily available on docs.ghost.org - and linked in the readme which ships with every single package. Otherwise not much I can do with a critical comment and zero context or information of any kind. 🙃

I am right in the process of finding a CMS for a new product website I'm working on. I would have really liked to go with Ghost (1), but couldn't because of its lack of support for multiple categories of articles. You can only imagine how thrilled I was to read that Ghost 2.0 was released, adding support for exactly that! Are there any examples showcasing these new possibilities, or pointers to documentation explaining how to do this?
I'd love the ability to create course listing, or workshops as if these were pages with a couple of simple data types like dates and a custom json-id schema attached to it.
I'd love to be able to control how my referred header is shared with 3rd parties, my Content Security Policy and a few other important HTTP headers. In order to have a more secure web presence and also to have a better rating than an F in securityheaders.io, It reflects badly on my own credibility as an IT-guy.
Pros:
Fast
Simple
Good editor
Great import/export API for content migration
built-in redirects
Cons:
Missing some essential Security features like custom HTTP headers in the hosted version
No custom objects, just pages and posts

With the new Custom Routes option, is it possible to set a future date on a Post or add custom fields with basic data types? That way this system could be used to advertise future class dates, events, workshops etc...

Hey hey! Looks like Ghost isn’t a hosted solution, which would require that we set it up. Is this true?Has this been addressed with the new release, and can you recommend hosts.. Thx

I'm using the Ghost.io hosted version.
