Gesso is a creator and publisher of mobile audio tours. Through the Gesso app, available on iOS and Android, locals and travelers can explore cities while listening to audio stories that play based on where they are.

Hi PH community! Here's a little more about what we're up to at Gesso:  -We built Gesso as a next-gen audio guide to the world. Whether you've lived in a certain city your whole life or you're travelling somewhere new, you'll uncover geotagged audio stories about iconic landmarks and hidden gems when you launch an audio walk on Gesso. We hope these stories encourage long-term dialogues about place, history, and human creativity. -We currently have free and paid content in NYC, Florence, Venice, Rome, and SF. Would love to hear feedback from anyone who goes on a walk! -We're also working on Gesso's creator platform. @aaronoleary Thanks, Aaron! We currently have Gesso original walks and walks published by creators in 7 cities (NYC, Florence, Rome, Venice, SF, Chicago, Québec). More coming soon... Paris is in the works!

@andrewmason @chrismessina Yes, please! I'm one of the founders of Gesso and we'd love to host all of the old Detour content, or anything from Soundwalk Collective. Our creator platform will empower a lot of new audio producers that want to create great content, though, and we've already seen some really creative uses of our tech including audio dramas and true crime walks. We're really excited to see what our creators do next.
