How do you stay healthy?

Being a founder/builder is a lot of work and can take its toll on your health. What's your strategy for staying healthy? I'm a walker and can easily crank out 15+ miles a week, eat only plants and hit the gym 3-5x a week. What's yours?

I ran a web agency for 15 years before building a SaaS. Here's what I wish I knew earlier.

For 15 years I built ecommerce stores for clients at my agency in Italy. Good business, good clients, but always trading time for money. Last year I took a problem I kept solving manually for clients, writing product descriptions, and turned it into a SaaS product.

The transition from agency to product was harder than I expected. A few things I learned the hard way:

  1. Your agency clients are NOT your SaaS target market. They want custom work, not self-service tools. Different mindset entirely.

  2. Pricing is a completely different game. In agency work you price by the hour or project. In SaaS you price by the value delivered and underpricing is the default mistake.

  3. Marketing yourself feels wrong. After 15 years of marketing other people's businesses, promoting your own product feels awkward. You have to get over it fast.

  4. The loneliest part is making decisions alone. In agency work the client tells you what to build. In SaaS, you decide and you live with the consequences.

  5. Being bootstrapped is a superpower, not a limitation. No investors means no pressure to grow at all costs. You can build what actually matters.

I'm still early in this journey and learning every day.

Do you use AI-powered software to record meeting notes? If so, what do you use?

I've tried using tools that automatically take notes during my Zoom/Google Meet calls, but none of them have stuck. A full transcription is overkill and summaries often miss the most important points. Additional context: Most of my calls are fundraising-related conversations with founders. I would prefer NOT to have a "bot" join a call and ideally the notes could automatically be shared in a specific Slack channel with my team. I'm curious what tools people are using and for what use cases. I'd appreciate any recommendations. :)

How do you increase product growth during the ("quieter") summer months?

If there's one thing marketers know, it's that most holidays and promotional opportunities fall between September 1st and December 31st.

Summer is generally quieter; people are on vacation, and paradoxically, more on their phones, but things are still slower.

Is AI making us stupid?

I hate to say it and I don't want to sound pessimistic (but it's probably happening already :D)...

with all the conveniences we have, we are so fast and unfortunately also comfortable.
