Why do you work at a startup?

Hey hunters! There are a lot of startupers here. And it is interesting for me why people choose to work for a startup. Personally, I like opportunity to learn something new everyday. My work is quite flexible so my responsibilities could change. And I really like it! What about you? Why have you decided to work at a startup? What is your favorite part of working for a startup?

How much time do you spend on hobbies?

Last 5 years my job was my hobby. And then I felt burning out emotionally. Thats why now I decided to do tennis, dancing and painting apart from work. I m wondering how much time is okay for that.

What needs to be perfect with your product before launch?

I've just made the most difficult decision to put off my product launch until after a week later because I thought we are not ready. A few shake-ups here and there. But this, in my opinion, while it is a setback, I see it instead as an opportunity to re-evaluate what we currently have. And make sure we get it right with our launch. We're working on making our product worthy of this community. And we are working hard at it. What is a non-negotiable for product launches in your opinion? Let's hear your thoughts. UPDATE: We finally fixed the issue we had and resolved to go live this Saturday. :) I can't thank you all enough for all your amazing answers. We'll keep working hard on our product even post-launch. But of course, those early feedbacks will be vital to our growth. We are going live on PH on Saturday. Please find us here: https://www.producthunt.com/prod... Thanks for your support.

I let Hermes/OpenClaw agent run our video making system for 10 days. This is what happened...

Video has always been one of our biggest customer acquisition channels at my company. But for 2 years, our video making process was a mess. Not the recording - the everything else. Finding editors who understood our specific AI context was hard, so we ended up doing it ourselves. It was draining. It was inconsistent. It was a bottleneck.

Over the last 10 days, I built an autonomous AI video agent (powered by Hermes - or OpenClaw - both work) to kill the drudgery for good.

How much do you invest in healthtech? Share your health tech stack.

They say the best investment is in your health. (I agree, although I have to admit I don t really stick to that myself.)

Right now, health is mostly being supported at the level of:

physical fitness (workout apps, weight-loss tools, smart devices for heart-rate tracking, step counters)
mental health (e.g., digital detox apps, a personal therapist in your phone)
longevity (more of a long-term process, experimenting across different areas)

What kind of software product is the most in demand? Web app, smartphone app, extensions?

For years, I ve been hearing that we re a mobile-first (or even mobile-only) society.

Smartphones are portable. We spend the most time on them.
Distribution via App Store / Play Store is huge.

So logically You should build for mobile, right?

Are builders so busy building businesses that starting a family isn’t a priority?

Most of my classmates from elementary school, high school, and university have been married for a long time and have had kids for at least 4  5 years.

But none of them started a business. They got jobs, their shift ends at 5 on Friday, and then they go enjoy their free time.
