The month where nothing happened and everything changed.

Nothing shipped last month. No launches, no new features, no announcements. By every visible measure, it was the quietest month I have had in two years.

But underneath, three things shifted that I think will matter more than any launch this year. I fixed the support backlog that had been quietly rotting for months. I finally said no to a customer request that had been pulling the roadmap sideways. And I wrote down, for the first time, what this product is actually for.

None of that will ever appear in a changelog. If you looked at my dashboard, last month would look like a waste.

I have started to suspect that the most important work is almost always invisible, and the work that gets celebrated is almost always the easiest to point at.
