How many projects can you handle at once?
In other words... what are your capabilities?
What are your multi-project management skills?
Because I feel like people like Marc Lou or Levelsio do a lot of them and as solo founders, they are pretty fast and versatile (but they probably delegate some things to other freelancers - that's my guess).
How many projects can you handle at once? Either solo or together?
For example, I was handling 5 or 6 at one time, but it soon took its toll on my health. When it struck, I didn't care about project anymore.

I wish to have multiple projects but the WeeklyWrap 'eat' my all time for a month from when I released first time in may..now its better, faster, stronger then it was before. So from now on I can focus on next projects. So yes,I can handle more then 1 project.
I have a severe case of ADHD and I'm usually working on 3 projects at the same time. Along with 4 kids, all playing nationally ranked club volleyball, I guess I can cut it down to maybe 2. But I'd get bored.
Honestly, I used to think multitasking was a skill, but now I see finishing things is the real skill.
one. the other ten were the discount voice in my head making me feel productive while doing nothing important. cut to one and shipped more in the next 90 days than the previous 18 months. building TAM Network. that is the one.
For me the limit isn't the number of projects, it's the number of things I can hold real conviction on at once. I can keep ~5 plates spinning operationally, but I can only deeply CARE about 1-2 - and the ones I don't care about quietly rot even while they're "managed."
The hidden tax is context-switching: every project carries a "re-load the mental model" cost, and past ~3 active ones that reload eats more time than the actual work. So I'd now rather run 2 things I'm obsessed with than 5 I'm maintaining. Maintenance mode is where side projects go to die.
I think the honest number is lower than most founders want to admit. You can keep many projects “alive,” but only a few can receive real judgment at the same time.
For me, the bottleneck is not task volume, it is context switching: remembering why a decision was made, what changed, who is waiting, and what risk is hidden. That is also where AI agents can help, but only if they reduce coordination load instead of creating more tabs, summaries, and half-finished work to supervise.
One. Maybe one and a half if I'm generous.
Learned it the hard way. Switching between projects, I'd get a little progress on each and nothing that compounded. Sticking with one and building on it is where the real growth showed up.
So I dropped a marketing business that made decent money to go all in on one product. Split focus kills depth, and depth is where the wins are.
On Levelsio, careful reading that as the model. Shipping 10 projects is a volume game, throw a lot out, see what sticks. Works for small products, falls apart when one thing needs deep work.
Your health comment is the real signal. 5-6 until you stopped caring isn't a capacity problem, the spread was too thin.
What made you run 5-6, all wanted, or hedging?
The limit for me isn’t energy — it’s the background noise. When you’re working on one thing but three others are mentally unfinished, you’re not really present anywhere. I’ve found that the number of projects I can handle is directly tied to how well I can close the loop on each one — even temporarily. Parking something clearly feels different from letting it hover.
three. not by choice — by what each one needs of me.
TAM Network gets the deep work. it is the only one where if i drop a week it dies. so it gets the morning hours when my brain works.
the other two (one consulting gig that pays the runway, one writing project that keeps me sane) live in afternoon and evening, in that order.
the rule i broke once and now never break: only one thing requires invention at a time. you can run two execution-heavy projects in parallel because execution is muscle memory. but two invention projects compete for the same cognitive slot and BOTH go sideways.
the health bit you mentioned is the most important signal here. the body knows two weeks before the mind does.
