How many projects can you handle at once?
In other words... what are your capabilities?
What are your multi-project management skills?
Because I feel like people like Marc Lou or Levelsio do a lot of them and as solo founders, they are pretty fast and versatile (but they probably delegate some things to other freelancers - that's my guess).
How many projects can you handle at once? Either solo or together?
For example, I was handling 5 or 6 at one time, but it soon took its toll on my health. When it struck, I didn't care about project anymore.

As a freelancer, while managing my own operations, I can handle up to 3 clients at once ..

@azouzidesign Still a lot!:)
I hit the same wall at 5 or 6 at once. What actually fixed it for me was not doing fewer things, it was admitting I could not hold all of it in my head and trust myself to know what needed attention that day. I ended up building FounderFlow because of that, something that watches everything running and tells me the one or two things that genuinely need me right now instead of me guessing which project is quietly going wrong.
@stacywycof83995 That “quietly going wrong” signal feels like the real bottleneck. The hardest part after seeing which projects need attention is keeping the reason each matters, the arguments that made it a priority, and the evidence that if changed, should change that priority. Otherwise the loudest project wins by default.
Does FounderFlow track that moving context, or extrapolate it from activity and risk?
@jalcantara It does both. It reads current activity and risk signals in real time, and it also keeps the reason a flag was raised, not just the flag itself, so when something changes, a client replies, an invoice clears, it rechecks whether that original reason still holds instead of leaving a stale flag sitting there. Every flag also carries a confidence grade, Verified, Very Likely, Needs Review, or Monitor Only, so you know what to trust and what to double check. Happy to show you how it handles that on a real business if it is useful, we are onboarding the first 30 founding members personally right now.

@stacywycof83995 For how long have you been building it?
@busmark_w_nika A little over eight months total. The first several were just for myself, across the three businesses, before I ever thought about anyone else using it. It only became something worth sharing after I had used it daily for months and trusted what it was telling me.
I operate quite a few projects, plus the business itself, and it's not so difficult if you learn to identify what's important now, ie set priorities for the day, and reshuffle if there is a fire!

@sachin_mareedu I have gaps in that, will work on it :)
@sachin_mareedu Same principle behind FounderFlow, the AI Chief of Staff I built after running a software company, a care home, and a cafe at once. Identifying what's important now is easy to say but hard to do daily across separate businesses, curious how automated vs manual your prioritizing is right now. Open to a quick call if useful.
Right now just one, and it's taking everything I have. Three months in, launched on Product Hunt today.
I think the "many projects" thing works when you've already built systems and habits around shipping fast. Early on, one project done well beats three projects done halfway. @busmark_w_nika

@mpanpalli I hope that you spotted good place :)
2-3 and yes beyond that it is stressful

@anandhi_venkat4 Time to reconsider number of projects :)
I think the secret isn’t managing multiple projects, it is managing attention. The age old framework of Do, Dump, Delay and Delegate has worked very well for me. The hardest part is knowing what not to pick when everything seems like a priority.

@swaroop_jayaram 4D is a new concept for me, I learnt something new again :)
Two is the honest number. One with real momentum, one in a slower build phase. The third is always half-alive.
The bottleneck is not time, it is quality of thinking. When I am underslept or stretched thin, everything gets shallower. Decisions slow down, the work gets worse, nothing ships on time.
I build Cadence alongside a full-time job. The honest answer is that the job protects the project, not the other way round. You need a clear head more than you need more hours.

@oshylabs can you name (link) those projects too? :)
@busmark_w_nika Cadence is the one I launched here last week: a recovery aware bulk and cut coach for natural lifters. The rest sit under Oshylabs Ltd, a SaaS portfolio I build alongside a full-time job. Not all are public yet but Cadence is the current focus.

@oshylabs Thank you for linking it here :)
I think there’s a difference between having multiple projects and having multiple priorities. You can have ten projects sitting in Notion. The problem starts when all ten become priorities. Every time I’ve felt overwhelmed, it wasn’t because I had too much to do. It was because I couldn’t clearly answer: 'What is the one thing that matters most this week?'

@surabhi_minocha The week is almost over, I need to put my question now! :D
@busmark_w_nika :D Hahahaha... Maybe figuring out the answer to your question is this week's priority!!

@surabhi_minocha My priorities are now very destabilised :D
Only one main project at a time for me. But it has multiple features (15+) that feed into an IP production pipeline.

@mira_gold What is the product? :)
@busmark_w_nika...Mira Gold's Writing Forge — it's a platform for producing long-form fiction works and IP at scale (fiction, scriptwriting, narration, translation, marketing, images, songwriting, and more). Watching one of your videos right now.🙂

@mira_gold Thank you! <3
I can handle two projects at the same time... but I try not to. It's better to focus on just one.

@matt_well Hope your decision to focus more will happen :)
