Hey everyone,
I’m Sebastian, product builder, goal achiever, and matcha lover.

Fred started because I wanted an app that helps me to achieve my goals. An app that is clean, simple and inspiring to use. Fred helped me to create a healthy lifestyle, work on side-projects in a fun and engaging way, get fit and train more and to travel more.

Now, after months of rebuilding and optimizing, Fred is online on the web, for you, your laptop, your workday, your big plans. We also optimized the mobile experience so you can also confidently use Fred on your mobile browser while on the go.

I’d love for you to check in with Fred, play around, and share what goals you’re creating next. Your feedback will shape the next chapters of Fred. Let's make goal setting fun again, by also achieving the goals you have set for yourself ✨

Of course Fred uses AI to achieve your goals 🔮

@hejsfj vision boards +actionable steps are like the sweet spot. how do you see Fred working alongside Notion or Trello?

Sebastian Frederik Jacobsen
@mohsinproduct good question! In the future I could think about integrating those tools to sync the steps with Notion or Trello. So this could be a nice addition 😊

Is this oriented towards personal goals?

Sebastian Frederik Jacobsen

@leah_madden yes it is. Feel free to try it.

I really like the idea of turning goals into small, achievable steps—it's much more motivating. I wonder how Fred helps people stay committed to their goals long after the initial enthusiasm fades? After all, people usually just stop using the app when the initial burst of motivation fades. Is there also a quick check to see if it's a truly thought-out goal or just a fleeting desire? (I think this could reduce the number of goals set and not achieved.)

Sebastian Frederik Jacobsen

@anastasiiazhur great point. I believe in the power of individuals to set their goals mindfully. Rather than setting many goals I would advice to set 2-3 goals per month that are realistic to achieve. I would also advice to integrate Fred into your daily or monthly habits, however it fits best to your lifestyle. For example how about setting a recurring reminder in your favorite to-do app to visit Fred once a month to check-in on your goals and plan 30 minutes a month to update and reflect on your goals.

This could be a habit that helps people to achieve their goals.

Fred itself keeps reminders to a minimum, as you are in charge of your goals and life and we provide the powerful and simple platform for you. However we do send out e-mail reminders once a month if you want to revisit your goals.

I hope this clarifies your question.

Last thought when it comes to motivation: Be motivated and encouraged by the world. Also at least once a year when it comes to new years eve many people will revisit Fred to check-in on their goals.

Great concept! Really appeals to me. Issue is it doesn't prompt for enough context upfront, so the AI steps end up being too vague. What's the edge over using GPT with memory for goal planning?

It turns out that someone has made a goal tracker that actually helps me break down big ideas into bite-sized steps..... my vision board is about to get way more action. Super sleek work and congrats again....

The personal motivation for building Fred comes through clearly. Goal-setting apps often fail because they become another source of pressure rather than genuine support.

How does Fred's AI approach differ from typical goal-tracking apps that just send reminder notifications? Many people abandon goal apps because they feel judged by their own data when they miss targets.

Also curious about the balance between AI assistance and personal agency.

Sebastian Frederik Jacobsen

@alex_chu821 great point and awesome mindset. Well we actually don't pressure people to achieve their goals. So you simply set a date when you want to achieve your goal, most of the times you also reach it in time if you set it intentionally. However if the month passes by and you don't reach it, simply visit Fred again and move the goal to a future date. It's that simple.

It comes down to mindfulness, simplicity and a powerful platform where you are in charge and Fred supports you in your very individual lifestyle and pace.

So no worries, no judgment and a lot of positive high tech support from Fred.

@hejsfj The flexibility approach makes sense - we've seen similar patterns with our campaign management tools where rigid tracking often backfires.

What's interesting is this "mindfulness" positioning versus typical productivity apps. In our influencer campaigns, we've found creators perform better when they feel supported rather than monitored.

Will Try !

Any gamification features to keep motivation high? Streaks, badges, rewards?

I told Fred I wanted to post on LinkedIn 4 times a week… and it basically said, “say less.” 😂 Next thing I know, my “wishful thinking” had turned into a SIMPLE step-by-step action plan. 🤯 It broke down my goal into small tasks to remind me to actually engage; it feels less like an app and more like an accountability buddy. I also like the fact that it went straight to the point. Do you plan to add features that suggest content ideas based on your goal (e.g., trending topics for LinkedIn posts)? That would make it 11/10 for creators like me.

@hejsfj It's great to break down goals into small steps and set deadlines to keep yourself motivated. Great Product :)

Really cool stuff! Love the idea of combining the actionable steps with more grand ambitions!
