Franz 2.0 is a desktop app that puts messaging services altogether in one place. It can combine apps like WhatsApp, Slack, Facebook Messenger, WeChat, HipChat, Skype and a lot more. You can even use multiple accounts for the Facebook Messenger - mix your business profiles and your private ones if you need to.

I like the idea of having one desktop app for all my messaging needs. This one is pretty good because it includes two big ones for me: FB Messanger and Whatsapp. It'd be perfect if it had IMessage too.
Pros:It works well with Messanger and Whatsapp
Cons:It doesn't include Imessage and I use an app called GroupMe which is on their list but it doesn't work
nice idea but RAM usage is far too high for a chat app. I know 8 GB is minimum nowadays but even then over 1 GB is too much.
Pros:support for a lot of platforms
Cons:HUGE memory consumption (over 1 GB)
