Best
Framer is suitable for simple websites, but it becomes inadequate when dealing with complex requirements. The main issues include: •CMS functionality basics: Its flexibility is far inferior to Webflow or custom solutions, and support for Notion API is also limited.
• Lack of single-page password protection: Creating private content or restricted areas is relatively difficult.
•No Zapier integration: External tools need to be manually integrated through methods such as fetch. •Low cost-effectiveness: The price is high but the functionality is limited. In comparison, V0 custom development is more cost-effective.
•Poor support experience: Slow response and issues often not being effectively resolved.
•Another issue is that it does not support multi-language localization, and I hope this feature can be added.
Summary: Framer can be used to build simple websites, but it is not suitable for projects that require advanced CMS, integration capabilities, or higher scalability. It is hoped that it can become more powerful after updates.
Report
Framer keeps closing the gap between "design tool" and "real website" — proper breakpoints and styles were the two things I always wanted. Being able to publish straight from the canvas is the killer part. How granular do the new styles get — can you build a full reusable design system (tokens, shared text/color styles) that updates everywhere at once?
