Fold - Send messages at the speed of a paper airplane

Every other messaging app races to deliver instantly. Fold does the opposite on purpose: you fold your note into a paper airplane and throw it across a real map, and it takes real-world time to arrive. The time is shaped by the actual distance between you and your friend, the plane you chose, and the live wind along its route. A message to someone across town might land in minutes. One to the other side of the planet can take days or weeks. You can open the map and watch it fly.

When I was a kid and had no phone, I used to send messages to my neighbours and colleagues in school written on a paper and fold as airplanes. The distances were short, but it felt really nice back then. Internet made everything faster and somehow impersonal, so I decided to send messages written on airplanes to my friends again, except now they are across and entire ocean and the messages take days to travel at the speed of a paper airplane. That's the idea behind Fold.
