Focus Valley - Gamified Pomodoro Timer with a World Leaderboard

by
A gamified Pomodoro timer with a leaderboard. This competitive focus app tracks the minutes you actually work and ranks you on a live weekly world leaderboard.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Solo dev here. I built Focus Valley because every Pomodoro app I tried had the same flaw: the timer runs even when you don't. You start a session, grab your phone, and still get your "productive" streak. Focus Valley actually checks. It tracks real activity: go idle and the timer pauses, drift away and a full-screen alert pulls you back. Every real minute of focus earns you a spark. And here's the fun part: sparks feed a worldwide leaderboard that resets every Monday. You're not just focusing, you're climbing a global ranking against everyone else who's grinding this week. Daily streaks, shareable rank cards, custom presets. The leaderboard is brand new, so whoever joins today starts with a real shot at the top. For launch: the first 20 subscribers get $2.99/mo locked forever (or grab Lifetime at $9.99, one time). Windows 10/11 build available, Linux and MacOS coming soon. I'd genuinely love your feedback: what would make you trust a focus app enough to compete on it? AMA, I'll be here all day 🔥

Hey Filippo! Congratulations on launch! Timer preset structure is a nice idea! Are you planning to add a custom option - where user can set the time of focus and rest by himself?

Yeah, that feature will be released in one of the next updates. Also one of my testers asked me for that.

Tried it for two pomodoros this morning and the leaderboard element actually pushed me to stay off my phone longer than usual. Would love to see some kind of team mode eventually.

That's a great idea! Do you think this could be a feature you’d be willing to pay for on a Pomodoro timer?

Love the leaderboard angle, makes solo focus sessions feel way more alive. One idea though: add team-based competitions where small groups can pool their minutes and chase shared weekly goals, would add a cooperative layer on top of the solo grind.

Thank you so much Melis! That's a great idea.

One question: Would you pay for a pomodoro timer if it had this feature?
