Amazing! I was actually looking for something like this. Tired of Google Translate's inacuracy and always removing my formating.
Milber Ferreira
@maryoneal1 😅 We are too! Glad to hear you like Fluently.

@maryoneal1 Hi Mary is the website still works and I can translate on it or there are developments?
Thomas Mester
If you detected the lang don't propose to translate into this lang. The title isn't translated on my side. Otherwise it's working.

@hotgeart Hey, thanks for the feedback. What is happening is that we are detecting your browser language settings and applying those as the target language to translate. If you have any suggestions on how would you prefer this to work we are all ears 👂😊

@sandercrombach @johan_de_wit Thank you, Johan!

Wow, the translation quality is unbelievable! Congratulations 🎉
Milber Ferreira
@rcamargo Thanks! There is always room for improvement when is AI vs Humans, and we still have a long way to go but it's slowly getting there.

Looking fabulous! Keep on the great work!

What uses here for the translation google, deepl or both?
Milber Ferreira
@bzar_ Hey, thanks for asking, please send me a personal message on LinkedIn, and we can get deeper into this topic 😊

Awesome product! Just a small bug report: Flags are not working on Linux (Chromium), you should probably switch to SVG (or font) like on the other icons instead of Emoji flags.
Milber Ferreira
@yves_hoppe Thank you for trying it out and for great your feedback. We will be adding SVG flags shorty 😊

One of the easiest languages to detect is Japanese. It boggles my mind how this was not identified as Japanese even though it's supposedly supported. This is the text I entered: "とかく、現代人はまだ、辞書辞典などを、ほんとに、自分の頭脳にしきっていない。そのくせ、現今ほど、辞典の良書が、ぼくらの書架に、その選択の自由を豊かにされている時代もないのだが、なお遅れているのは、よくその辞典を使い生かす、こちらの頭の方にあるとおもう。" -- taken from https://yomi.ai/authors/%E5%90%8...

@matthias_sieber Thank you for trying Fluently beta, and thank you for your feedback and sample text. At this stage, our recognition engine still has some trouble recognizing a few languages, but we will be deploying an updated version with improved language detection in a few weeks. Thank you for your patience.
Milber Ferreira
@matthias_sieber In the mean time, we just deployed V 0.0.9-β which gives you the option to select the language source for the translation. Please try logging in and give it a try. If you still can't select the source language, wait for 1 minute and the new version should be fetched. Then you'll see a notification to get it. I hope this helps 😊 Meanwhile, we will continue to work in our language detection algorithm and we'll let you know when an update in the language detection feature is available for you to try.

Would be good if the translate screen didn't disappear when I started re-typing my original text. I don't expect it to keep translating for me without clicking the refresh button but from a ui/x perspective, I didn't like how it kept reverting.
Milber Ferreira
@sparkyuk11 Thanks for trying Fluently and for your feedback! The idea of the right panel disappearing is because we believe that once a writer stats typing, their focus is back on the writing, not in the translation. Anyway, we take feedback very seriously, and we’ll take your request into consideration, and if it fits our roadmap maybe even implement it on our next release. Stay tuned!
