As a founder of ConferenceCast.tv, that I've been developing for 4 years as a directory of professional conference recordings, the matter of summarizing of talks was always a pain point for me. And I've been looking for solutions in this field, both automatic and manual, all this time. And also thought a lot about a possibility of generation of such summaries by AI itself and how to teach such an AI to understand what is important and not right now or a year ago. I came to a conclusion that AI should be a) constantly "in material" and b) trained by somebody who is on the edge of knowledge field. And it doesn't look real still. It's interesting how ChatGPT, which has a dataset limited by 2021, can extract the meanings out of fresh topics. I'm so doubted it can, but will give it a try :)

Great job) Installed and began to use, the only thing missing is video recognition without subtitles. But it's understandable why=)

Thanks!! 🔥 Yes, speed is the problem. I tried Whisper, but the speed for a 1-hour video is unacceptable. I will try another approach to this problem later. Based on today's analytics, 11% of the videos have no subtitles. So it's a major, but not a critical problem.
