Has a delayed flight ever paid you back? Tell me your story

by•

Hi everyone, I'm Federico, the maker of Dueply.

I built it after realising how many people sit through a 4-hour delay or a cancellation and never claim the compensation they're owed. Under EU261 and UK261 it can be up to €600 per passenger.

How it works: you enter a flight number and date, Dueply reads what actually happened to the flight and tells you whether it qualifies. If it does, it drafts the claim letter. You send it to the airline yourself and keep 100% of what they pay, with no agency and no commission. You can also watch an upcoming flight, and it tells you when the outcome is known.

Two questions for you before launch:

1. Have you ever claimed for a delayed or cancelled flight? Did you do it yourself or through an agency, and how did it go?

2. What stopped you, if you never did?

I'll be here all launch day to answer anything, about the app or about passenger rights in general.
