drop. - Incredibly simple media hosting for humans AND AI agents.

by•
I originally built drop.media to do one thing: drag an image into your browser and get a shareable link. It still does that! Now it's one media library for you and every AI agent you use. Upload from the browser, terminal or API, or let Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor save files to it through MCP. Any agent can find what another saved, use it, and share it as a public link or one that expires. Images, PDFs, video and docs, on every plan, including free. Upload once. Use it everywhere.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I first launched in 2020 with a simple idea: drag an image into your browser and get a link to share it.

Six years later, I’ve rebuilt it around how we work today - including with AI agents.

AI tools can create all sorts of useful things, but getting those files out of a chat or local workspace and somewhere shareable can still be awkward. That’s where comes in.

You can now:
• Upload directly from AI tools through MCP
• Upload from your terminal with the CLI
• Build uploads into your own apps through the API
• Share a much wider range of media types
• Organise everything in a rebuilt media library

And yes, you can still just drag a file into your browser.

I’d love to hear what you’re creating with AI and where sharing the output gets frustrating. That’s the problem I want to keep making easier.
