doXmind is "Cursor for Writing" — an AI editor where Claude doesn't just chat, it acts. Select text to rewrite, simplify or translate. Inline autocomplete as you type. Visual diff review for every AI edit. Upload PDFs — AI cites your sources, no hallucinations. The standout: agent skills. Legal searches real court opinions via CourtListener. Data Analysis runs Python on your CSV/Excel in a sandbox. Plus web fetch, presentations, and 7 expert domains. Free beta, no credit card.

Hey Product Hunt! Maker here.
I built doXmind because I wanted "Cursor, but for writing." Every AI writing tool I tried was just a chatbot next to a textbox. I wanted an agent that can actually do things — edit your document, search legal databases, run code on your data, and cite real sources.
Here's everything doXmind can do today:
AI Agent with a Skill System
The agent loads domain-specific skills on demand — each with expert prompts, templates, and reference materials:
Legal — searches real court opinions from CourtListener, fetches full case text, helps you draft with actual legal citations
Data Analysis — upload CSV/Excel/JSON, the agent writes & runs Python in a sandbox to analyze your data and write up findings
Academic — citation formats, argumentative structures, research writing guidance
Business, Technical, Content, Research — 7 skill domains total, each with specialized knowledge
Deep Editor Intelligence
Inline Autocomplete — Copilot-style ghost text for prose, with 3 modes: short, long, and adaptive
Quick Edit Menu — select any text → improve / simplify / make longer / change tone / translate to 6 languages
Visual Diff Review — see exactly what AI changed, accept or reject each hunk. Like code review, but for writing
Slash Commands — type / to insert any block: headings, lists, code blocks, tables, math (LaTeX), callouts, toggles, and more
Knowledge Base (RAG)
Upload PDFs, DOCX, PPTX. The KB Agent performs multi-step retrieval — searches semantically, reads relevant sections, and answers with source citations and relevance scores. No hallucinations, just facts from your files.
Web-Connected
AI can fetch live web pages and search the internet to incorporate real-time information into your writing.
Rich Document Experience
Notion-style block handles with drag-and-drop
Folders, favorites, trash with recovery
Import from PDF/DOCX/PPTX/Markdown, export to PDF/DOCX/Markdown
Version history — restore any previous state
Find & Replace with regex support
Command palette (Ctrl+K) for everything
Presentation Mode
Turn any document into a full-screen slideshow with one click. Auto-splits by headings or dividers. Arrow key navigation, progress bar, and auto-generated title slide.
Sharing
Generate a clean read-only link for any document or folder. Viewers get an outline sidebar and can enter presentation mode — no sign-up required.
Customization
Light, Dark, and High Contrast themes
Typography: font family, size, line height
BYOK — bring your own API key
Mobile-responsive with swipe navigation

Free beta, no credit card. What feature would you want to see next?
@wangzhang_wu Congrats on the launch! One feature I'd love is a way to replicate my "tone of voice" because I feel AI never writes like how I want it to, to the point I prefer to re-write everything in my style. Is that something you've looked at or support?
doXmind
@janschutte Thanks Jan! Really appreciate the feedback. Tone of voice is actually something we've been thinking about — it's one of the biggest pain points with AI writing tools right now. We'll definitely look into supporting this. Stay tuned!
@wangzhang_wu
I love the way you combine how cursor works with notion design!
