CrossOver started as a personal project as a commitment to be as good as possible playing games competitively that either locked theirs behind paywalls or just didn't have good options. Many years later, 1,100+ stars, and it still does exactly what it says: puts a crosshair on your screen. No accounts, no subscriptions. The "not bannable" label in the readme is real - CrossOver works as a screen overlay, not a game injection, so it doesn't touch game memory or trigger anti-cheat. That's been the most asked question over the years. Code is on GitHub. PRs welcome.
