This is very encouraging. It's time to build real competition to Intercom, whose pricing is ridiculous and customer service abyssmal. Not to mention the clunky messaging. I am really looking forward to using this.
Hi Nicolas! We trust that good competition is what drives a market. At Crisp, our values are : fair pricing, minimalism, and good customer support. As CEO, I like chatting with customers as well. It's important to use your own software to understand users!
I haven't heard a bad word about Intercom until this 🙄
eh the pricing bit is at least true. It's crazy pricey, especially for early stage companies
sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. It upsets us to hear that :( Pricing is something we are actively addressing at the moment. We hope to have an update for you later this year. We want Intercom to be affordable for businesses of all shapes and sizes–unfortunately, that's really tricky so we're taking our time to make sure we get it right.
I appreciate your reaching out. All the CEOs I know are happy with the idea of Intercom more than with the product itself. After a few weeks it's shortcomings are pretty clear, and the very inflexible pricing leads to very unpleasant surprises when you grow. It's pretty obvious that the company abuses its deep integration to its clients BI to maintain very high prices. It will take competition to bring prices down quite dramatically, as Intercom has not been taking this issue seriously on its own. I am generally a champion of innovative companies and I never find myself criticizing other companies, but this one I feel is really pushing it. Happy to see very high quality products like Crisp or Batch pop up and bring something new.
Thank you Tristan! Over the last six month, Crisp Team worked on a revolutionary new version. We trust in a world where Business is closer and personal with customers. As communicating with users requires some time, we made Crisp 2.0 as a simple, and pleasant solution to communicate with customers everyday. From communication, user management, to analytics, many features are built-in to keep all your customers in one place. We hope that you'll like it and our team is here if you have questions :D
Baptiste, CEO at Crisp
Love the product and the referral system actually buys me coffee now ☕️ Use mine to buy me a cup of black gold ;)
Great Video
Hi guys, this looks fresh af! We love to chat over at Salesflare, most of our marketing and customer support eventually comes down to chatting. Curious though, what would you say is Crisp's edge over - let's say - Intercom and Drift?
It's of course a question that many customers ask. Of course there are other similar services, like Intercom, Drift (and there are many others competitors!). The key difference is not all about features but it's about experience. Crisp is made to be simple and crafted for small teams (Startups, SMB, Solo-founders as well). It's made to be used everyday. We also have a fair pricing model. Not a strategy. It's all about values.
I think this is a very important question. I would say Intercom is the leader right now in the space. We are able to send very targeting messages using a great UI with Intercom. Does your service offer that same feature set natively for iOS for example?
It's also possible to target messages on the new Crisp release. iOS/Android SDK are not ready yet. We had to focus on essentials on this release. But a new Crisp release is coming! About Intercom, you are right.. It's a leader in this market, but everybody will agree that a bit of competition will improve customer experience.
you are making my customer/lead communication product decision very difficult now. Congrats on the launch. Will certainly be testing out Crisp soon!
I agree it's more about experience than individual features. That being said, we use Intercom and its experience is really great. We're in SaaS ourselves and set high standards when it comes to UX/UI and freshness of design. Intercom is living up to those standards, pricing included. That is why I was asking for more specific edges of Crisp over Intercom. Crisp.im does look great though and it's a pity we didn't know about it before. We only recently decided on a live chat app and would have definitely taken Crisp.im into account.
Crisp is really an amazing product !
Thank you Nicolas :)
Thanks. ☺️
We've been using Crisp from the very early stage at Dude.fi and it's perfect for our customers and us. After having tried over 50 different live chat software, Crisp is by far the best of them all. On top of the great product, customer support and even support provided for website developers is brilliant. With all my heart I recommend Crisp to all!
Thank you Roni. Thank you for sharing Crisp. We are now quite popular in Finland :)
Hi Roni! If you are willing to try another option, feel free to consider slaask.com, the customer service app for all Slack users! As you'll experience, we are iOS, Android compatible and we provide more than 40+ custom integration's to multiple tools!
We noticed Slaask a while back, also tried other Slack based chats, but we dislike the idea for the main part to be on Slack directly and therefore lacking some features. Not everything should be built on Slack-only. Crisp has s wonderful Slack integration, but we mainly use it as notificstion center, to inform our staff about upcoming chats.
Thank you for your great feedback Roni. Slack is evolving everyday, Slaask is also evolving everyday and we currently have more features, for example, than Crisp. I understand that, up to now, you don't believe in the "all in one" Slack vision but, as you can see or will see, this vision is getting more and more traction everyday. , we don't believe it is efficient to use Slack as a notification center in regard to customer communication.
I disagree, but thank you for your opinion. For us, Crisp is better.
Do you have Zapier integration with the ability to update records (or create new if not found), tag users via zap, and add custom fields via zaps? I pay a fortune for intercom so would definitely consider this if you had those things as feel intercom has become somewhat stale due to their huge size. For me I rely on that in depth Zapier integration though, intercom does admittedly do this quite well.
As we are only three today at Crisp, we can't integrate with Zapier, as it requires a huge work to maintain. When we'll have some time after the Crisp 2.0 release, we'll build this Zapier integration :)
Jason, if you are using Slack, feel free to try Slaask.com, we provide a Zapier integration as well as 40 other custom integration's! And by using Slaask, you don't need to use anything in addition to Slack to take your customer communication in charge!
humm trying to poach customers away from 1 chat vendor while on their page is humm rather 'gauche'... isn't it? ;) lol
My thoughts exactly, clumsy, to be honest.
wow!, I'm trying to be respectful but you are such a spammer!!
Hi all! Just a quick note to say that we really love Crisp and even more with the new design. Congratulations to all the team! We at Applivery.com use Crisp on daily basis and we can assure that is an amazing solution. And, btw, we are also featured on PH today: :)
It's pretty amazing! good luck for your product today. We also have friends on ProductHunt today. It's called Octobat. A huge surprise because it was not planned at all!
OMG, we've been using Octobat in the past hehe what a coincidence! Good luck guys and thank you!
Hey guys! Why not consider our new version to try Octobat again? Cheers
Hi ! Actually we have very specific and tailored made billing requirements and therefore we decided to build our own invoicing system. But in any case, we have plans to use your service for another project we are building ;)
ok great, would be happy to know more :). How you guys solved the VAT issue?
Tried it for the low pricing. But stayed for the feature set and stability. Really works great across web, email, and mobile and allows our small game dev agency to act like it has a giant sales and customer response team.
Crisp has always been made for small companies. I hope that you'll like the new release!

Do not use this app. If you want to cancel subscription there support and CEO will say CANCEL it but they don't have any option for cancellation. They simply suck money out of your wallet. DON'T USE THIS!

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

They have a tricky pricing

I'm sorry about this experience, but it's wrong! You can cancel your subscription in a click, it's explained here:
Congratulations on the launch and 👏 It's awesome to finally see the new version :) We are using Crisp at Argos VR Systems and we love using it. I am looking forward to use . What was the hardest feature to implement in the new version ?
Thank you Alexandre! This new version has been release for month in private beta. The biggest challenge was to ensure compatibility for existing users and beta users. did a great job on it. On my side, I think that my biggest challenge was MagicBrowse, our new feature to see your users' screen :)
Thank you for your answer :) I understand, the MagicBrowse feature looks very useful to see where people have problems.
