Thank you Tristan! Over the last six month, Crisp Team worked on a revolutionary new version. We trust in a world where Business is closer and personal with customers. As communicating with users requires some time, we made Crisp 2.0 as a simple, and pleasant solution to communicate with customers everyday. From communication, user management, to analytics, many features are built-in to keep all your customers in one place. We hope that you'll like it and our team is here if you have questions :D

This is very encouraging. It's time to build real competition to Intercom, whose pricing is ridiculous and customer service abyssmal. Not to mention the clunky messaging. I am really looking forward to using this.

@nicoprincen Hi Nicolas! We trust that good competition is what drives a market. At Crisp, our values are : fair pricing, minimalism, and good customer support. As CEO, I like chatting with customers as well. It's important to use your own software to understand users!

@nicoprincen I haven't heard a bad word about Intercom until this 🙄
Justin Mitchell@itsthisjustin · Designing Products at Sofriendly.com
@nivo0o0 eh the pricing bit is at least true. It's crazy pricey, especially for early stage companies
Matt Hodges@mattnhodges · Marketing at @Intercom
@nicoprincen sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. It upsets us to hear that :( Pricing is something we are actively addressing at the moment. We hope to have an update for you later this year. We want Intercom to be affordable for businesses of all shapes and sizes–unfortunately, that's really tricky so we're taking our time to make sure we get it right.
Nicolas Princen@nicoprincen · Founder & CEO, Glose
I appreciate your reaching out. All the CEOs I know are happy with the idea of Intercom more than with the product itself. After a few weeks it's shortcomings are pretty clear, and the very inflexible pricing leads to very unpleasant surprises when you grow. It's pretty obvious that the company abuses its deep integration to its clients BI to maintain very high prices. It will take competition to bring prices down quite dramatically, as Intercom has not been taking this issue seriously on its own. I am generally a champion of innovative companies and I never find myself criticizing other companies, but this one I feel is really pushing it. Happy to see very high quality products like Crisp or Batch pop up and bring something new.
Matt Hodges@mattnhodges · Marketing at @Intercom
@nicoprincen as someone directly involved with and responsible for taking Intercom to market, and speaking completely openly and honestly, I can assure you that's absolutely not the case. It's a shame you feel that way. We'll have to agree to disagree.
Nicolas Princen@nicoprincen · Founder & CEO, Glose
@mattnhodges I can't really be sorry for the way I feel Matt, and I understand your are not happy with my comment - nothing personal. I am sure you guys will fix things up and make it better, and I can only imagine how hard it is to serve so many customers well when you are growing as fast as you are. I don't aspire to anything else than respecting well performing companies like yours, admiring the execution and success of everyone working there. As an entrepreneur, I respect Intercom. As a customer, I don't feel satisfied as explained. Maybe my comment will help somehow, or maybe you'll just consider it trolling that should be publicly disagreed with. That's your call. I wish you all the best, and I hope to keep reasons to pursue my relationship with your service.

@mattnhodges No need to apologise for having a premium price for a premium product. I'm a big fan of Intercom and have deployed it at scale several times, but you've left a wide open gap for small startup companies like Crisp to enter the market with simpler pricing. Competition is good for everyone in the market.
Matt Hodges@mattnhodges · Marketing at @Intercom
Thanks for the thoughtful reply, @nicoprincen. You're entitled to your opinion and I don't want, nor do I expect you to be sorry about it :) I simply wanted other people that read this to know that your assessment of our intentions is just not correct. That's all :) Congrats to @baptistejamin and the Crisp team on your release today!
Matt Hodges@mattnhodges · Marketing at @Intercom
@peterjthomson I wholeheartedly agree with you on both points :) Thanks for your support.
@nicoprincen Nicolas, Feel free to try Slaask.com, the customer service app for all Slack users! We have tons of users switching from Intercom to Slaask :)
Emmanuel Lemor@exlemor · Cust. Exp., Prod. Mgmt etc are my world.
@nicoprincen As someone who has pushed the company I work for to go with Intercom [Crisp wasn't much on the horizon at that time], I can honestly say the pricing was the 1 thing that the higher up was :/ about ... and we use it so little that it feels pricey but we do like what it offers... On the note about Customer Support, growth has yielded much slower responses lately but we still get answers within reasonable-ish times and I love the crafted Intercom communications visually and in what they contain... But competition is always good and Crisp is definitely very cool... there has been a couple of times where we've been tempted I have to admit..
Emmanuel Lemor@exlemor · Cust. Exp., Prod. Mgmt etc are my world.
@lewalle @nicoprincen I like Slaask but not everyone is so in love with Slack - and for the companies that aren't wed to it, it's obviously not a good match.

@exlemor @lewalle @nicoprincen When we started Crisp, we made our first MVP with a Slack only product. We realized that Slack was not made to reply to customers. So we made our own software with some Slack inspiration, allowing people to have the best experience to reply to customers. It's designed for that. Then, we linked Crisp with Slack and allowed your users to reply from there.

@baptistejamin Thanks Baptiste, totally happy to see - you guys saw the light early on - I get it that most of S.V. is in love with Slack and it can have its uses but that it's not really well geared toward customers - with Crisp v2 we get the best of both worlds - like it! :)

@lewalle Hey Alexis, this is not a page for you to show your face / service everywhere. We appreciate what you do at Slaask, but please try avoid spam here. We don't do such things to your threads. 😘

@mattnhodges @nicoprincen great to hear you are thinking about this, Matt! As a user (and fan) of Intercom, my 2c on pricing is that you will create better alignment changing to plans based on the number of customers or leads you actually message/interact with during the month. Looks like Crisp is going with flat tiers, which provides a nice degree of certainty as usage and signups scale up.

@baptistejamin @exlemor @lewalle @nicoprincen Fixing issues, like competition prices and not relying on third party platform. Good.

@nicoprincen Agree. We were partners with Intercom (they were customers of ours, and we of theirs, aswell), but after working with their team, we actually ended up terminating our working agreement, and them as a customer. Definitely don't recommend working with them We're excited to see what Crisp has to offer, to finally switch from Intercom :-)

Congratulations on the launch @quentin_dq @valeriansaliou and @baptistejamin 👏 It's awesome to finally see the new version :) We are using Crisp at Argos VR Systems and we love using it. I am looking forward to use Crisp 2.0. What was the hardest feature to implement in the new version ?

@mrcalexandre @quentin_dq @valeriansaliou Thank you Alexandre! This new version has been release for month in private beta. The biggest challenge was to ensure compatibility for existing users and beta users. @valeriansaliou did a great job on it. On my side, I think that my biggest challenge was MagicBrowse, our new feature to see your users' screen :)
Alexandre Mouriec@mrcalexandre · Associate @ Argos VR | Writer @ Stuffi
@baptistejamin @quentin_dq @valeriansaliou Thank you for your answer :) I understand, the MagicBrowse feature looks very useful to see where people have problems.
