Hey there Product Hunt! I am excited to tell you about Colonist, the 2nd game I have developed alongside my brother . We started working on Colonist in 2018 because we wanted to play Catan with our family. None of the online versions were really playable, so, like any programmer would have done, we built our own! Since then, we have worked tirelessly to create the best gameplay experience possible. Over time, we have grown and improved our player experience, and at this point, it is clear that Colonist is ready to become a staple in online strategy gaming. This is why we are proud to officially announce Ranked Mode and a Leaderboard system for Colonist! Competing in Ranked is easy: 1. Navigate to , click Play, and select either “Ranked 4P” or “Ranked 1v1” 2. Play in 10 placement games to establish your Matchmaking Ranking (MMR) 3. After your placement games, you will be placed in matches against players with similar MMR. Fight to move your way up the leaderboard! In the future, we plan to have prizes for top finishers and create a ladder-like league with divisions. In the meantime, we crave feedback and would love to hear about all of your experiences playing on our site. Please let us know what you think in the comments. Big fan! I've been really enjoying the Ranked 1v1 mode. On a separate note, I really wish there were keyboard shortcuts for things like rolling the dice.

Someone built a plug-in that gives you keyboard shortcuts. If you search the Colonist.io discord channel, you can probably find the link.
