Formsort is a low-code form builder built from the ground up for conversion rate optimization. Teams use Formsort to power the most important forms in their businesses - the ones that convert visitors on their marketing site into customers.
Hi Product Hunt!
I’m Fil, cofounder and CEO of Formsort.
Ben, Peter and I were early employees at Better.com, an online mortgage technology startup. There, we experienced the frustration of custom-engineering forms firsthand.
As the head of product, my team built Better’s mortgage pre-approval flow, which is essentially a long, branching form with a branded design, complex logic, and 3rd party data pulls. Every piece of this form was built from scratch by our engineers, and even simple changes could take weeks to get implemented. This significantly slowed down our ability to test and optimize. We spent most of our time solving generic data, logic, and UI problems instead of focusing on the nuances of our industry and helping borrowers into their homes.
When we looked around, we didn’t see any great solutions for this complex engineering problem. Tools like Typeform and Jotform weren't flexible enough to help tech companies like us with their complex product forms. Open source libraries only solved point problems. And custom engineering cost a ton of money.
That’s why we built Formsort: to have the form platform we wish existed.
Since we've gone live, our customers have received nearly 50 million form submissions, and have built:
- Patient intake forms that double sign-up conversion rates
- Qualification flows that increase sales by 30%
- Fintech onboarding flows saving $100,000s in engineering costs
- SaaS sign-up and feedback forms
+ more
Formsort has:
🎨 A powerful theme editor: control every form component, from overall layout to individual button states.
🧠 Complex logic: personalize responder experiences with conditional logic, redirects, and real-time calculations.
↔️ High extensibility: embed custom question types, retrieve answer choices from APIs, or embed the flow itself.
🔗 Native integrations: data stores (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Redshift, Google Sheets), analytics tools (Segment, Amplitude, Optimizely, Google Analytics) and more
🔐 Strong data privacy and security: SOC 2 Type II certified and HIPAA compliant

They’ve already helped startups like Allara, Balance Homes, and Calibrate increase form conversion and save thousands of engineering hours!
They have a free plan so do check out Formsort and let the team know your thoughts. Ben, Fil, Peter, and the rest of the team are here to answer your questions so drop your feedback and help them build a better form builder!
@ben_fine@tom_pp I think Ben summarizes this really well, but Formsort is for people looking for more customizability. Let us know what you think! So excited for you to try it.
@tom_pp We think Typeform and Jotform are great for simple use cases like surveys but are geared towards the prosumer market. Many Typeform and Jotform users graduate to Formsort for greater control over their form’s design, conditional logic and testing capabilities. We also capture data from partially completed forms.
Basically, Formsort is the closest you’ll get to the design and personalization of custom engineered forms, while maintaining the speed of iteration that comes with a form builder. Longer article here:

@dilan_mizrakli Thank you, Dilan for the great question. You can easily make copy, styling and simple logic changes without a developer! You can also send your data to Google spreadsheets very easily. Some of the more complex integrations might require engineers!
@dilan_mizrakli Hi Dilan - depends on the use case!
You can go live without a developer but if you want to, let's say, pull data into your flow from API you might want some help from a developer while getting set up. General flow building, styling, and copy editing doesn't require familiarity with code.
Report
The greater UX control along with integration with own tech stack is absolutely essential at this point. We were initially using type form in our healthcare startup but then we moved to a customer built form. This would definitely have solved our problems if we knew about it.
