We'd love to get your feedback about the product! Let us know what you think, how it helps you and how we can make it better. By the way, we're adding support for more languages (yes, javascript) very soon!
Thanks to for hunting us! Why should you install Codota? If you feel that you spend too much time and energy on reinventing existing code or trying to find and sift through credible references of how to work with all sort of APIs - then you're not alone! With Codota, you get the best contextual code suggestions delivered to you, directly in your coding workflow. This is based on the automatic learning of battle-tested coding patterns from millions of credible open source programs. Codota is now available for Java and Android, more languages will be added shortly. What makes the Codota AI special? As developers ourselves, we wanted to find a way to deliver great software quickly. That’s where the Codota AI comes in. Codota’s AI acts like a hive mind. It analyzes code from millions of open-source programs, learns common and authoritative coding patterns and provides code suggestion right into the development environment (IDE). Why is it free? Saying we want to change or revolutionize the way people write code is a bit of a cliche. However, that doesn’t make it untrue. We truly do want coders to enjoy the benefits of using Codota. Also, the more people use Codota the more it can learn and provide superior code suggestions each time. Naturally, this is all done anonymously. We do charge organizations for learning their code in their own private space in Codota. What else? So we’re actually dog people in Codota. Hope that doesn’t offend anyone at ProductHunt ;)
Got some feedback on Facebook asking what IDEs does Codota support? So we support IntelliJ, Eclipse, and Android Studio with more coming soon.
Another good question. This time in from LinkedIn: How does protect your code? Well, Codota does not save your code. It remains in your IDE apart from specific contextual data pieces which are not being used
Another question that came up: How do we make money? So, Codota makes money from providing the service privately to organizations on their own codebases
