Hello Hunters 👋
I wrote CloudPouch application because I needed simple solution to understand costs on multiple AWS accounts that I manage in my everyday work. Using CloudPouch myself, I saved over 16,560 USD per month on a single AWS account!
CloudPouch:
👉 is a desktop application that connects from your computer to AWS cloud. Your sensitive cost data is not shared with anyone.
👉 can be used during consulting because there is no AWS account onboarding, so you don't need any approvals to use it 😀
👉 It uses regular credentials (profiles) from AWS CLI, AWS SSO so there is no additional configuration required.
CloudPouch shows cost/billing data on a beautiful dashboard in a way that is much easier to understand than Cost Explorer. 🦄
It gives you better UX as well. Charts are clickable and allow you to filter Usage Type cost data. This is great when you want to understand why your costs suddenly peaked at a particular day or month. 🔍
There are search, filtering, sorting and similar capabilities that you would expect from such tool. Everything works ultra-fast because, well, it's a desktop. 🚀
Moreover, there is "Insights" functionality that analyzes your deployed resources to find cost-saving opportunities. 🕵️♂️
And the best part is that you don't share your billing data with me! Everything happens on your computer and stays there. 🔐
Who can find it useful:
👉 Cloud Engineers
👉 Cloud Solution Architects
👉 Managers of cloud teams
👉 SREs and DevOps
Thank you so much @brentobox. You are 💯 right. AWS billing scheme is very complex.

@pzubkiewicz Sounds great! as PaaS such as our Hypermedialab.com get heavy charges on traffic from AWS. Pawel, what about holding a videocall (mario.sanchez@hypermedialab.com) and receive CloudPoch feedback?
Thank you @piotr_tech! I was developing this software with real engineers in mind. It's for people who "do". I hope you will find a lot of waste and optimize your AWS bill.
If you are using EC2 instances make sure to check "Insights" under "EC2 - Other" in the services table. It automatically finds waste in your account!
Nicely integrates with ~/.aws/credentials so no setup needed. Really slick design and it felt fast.
?makers I would definitely hope you add the software to Homebrew since it feels a bit dirty to download .dmg files.
Thank you @infr ! I love that you noticed how fast it is 😃 Application also uses ~/.aws/config to support AWS SSO accounts as well.
I will note your Homebrew suggestion. Having said that, I want to highlight that the application has built in autoupdate, so you need to download .dmg only once 😃

Looks great! I'd definitely use it if I was to use AWS.
Do you plan to expand your product to Azure/GCP/Digital Ocean?
