Clearbit Connect quickly became a "can't live without" feature of Gmail. My sales colleagues gawked when they saw me casually using it to find people outside our company as easily as opening my own address book.

@maccaw Interesting product and daring data collection initiative! Be aware that users who have Mixmax installed need to switch back to Gmail's old composer to see Connect's Prospector button. Perhaps fixable (cc: @olofster)?
Kudos on making Connect's quite ballsy terms so in-your-face, although I can't help but think that more can be done to enlighten users, before they agree to share their contacts.
How will this fare in Europe? Is it safe to use for European users? As in, legal? I suspect that the usage of Clearbit Connect could put them in violation of the European Data Privacy rules; and if not those, then national data privacy directives. I know it's a jungle and it's easy to just file it in the "grey zone" category, but...
Hey Alex, great product ππ
People profiles: Nice touch with the day/night icons next to their location.
Company profiles: Do enough people care about the mailing address that it's worth including it? Would be nice to see links to AL & Crunchbase.
Question: When I give you access to my contacts, and one of my contacts is Joe MacCaw, with company listed as Clearbit, will his email come up for other people when they search for Clearbit emails?
Small bug: After typing name in email search, sometimes I get spinner, then briefly "no results", then results.
@lorendsr "Question: When I give you access to my contacts, and one of my contacts is Joe MacCaw, with company listed as Clearbit, will his email come up for other people when they search for Clearbit emails?". yes, that's how they are building their database, says so on the pricing page

This is a great tool, we have been using it with Salesforce and it has been providing great results for our sales team. Getting more info about incoming leads is quite powerful.
