Turning that into proactive "eat this to recover / stay on track" guidance, informed by your goals and the glucose-response model, is a direct next step rather than a new direction. It suggests three things to eat right now, weighted by where you actually are: macros logged so far vs. your targets, your remaining protein gap, your protocol and goal, and your dietary preference (it holds the line properly on keto, vegan, carnivore). It also leans on what you've logged recently, so the suggestions look like food you actually eat rather than stock-photo meal-prep.

The recovery piece you described is in there too — if you're within a few hours of ending a fast, it knows you're in the refeed window and shifts to gentle, protein-forward options for breaking the fast well.

One honest caveat on the glucose part: every suggestion carries a gentle/moderate impact estimate and it won't propose a spike meal, but that's our simulation model reading food composition — not your measured response. No CGM integration yet. If you wear one, I'd genuinely like to know whether connecting it is something you'd use, or whether the estimate is enough.

The glucose curve is deliberately labeled a simulation: it's modeled from food composition, fasting state, and your real activity, fasted steps steepen the curve's return to baseline in the model, not measured from your body. We'd rather be honest about that boundary than dress an estimate up as a reading, so it's good that the transparency reads as a feature rather than a hedge.

Same philosophy on citations: every physiological claim in the stage education traces to primary sources, Nobel-recognized autophagy research, NIH, Johns Hopkins, because fasting content is drowning in vague wellness language and we wanted an app that shows its work.
