why just coffee?... Its an internet connected smart scale, technically you could refill anything right?

Awesome to see how far you've come since we first chatted about Bottomless, @michael_mayer. Glad to see Philz in the rotation on day 1. 🤗 This idea isn't super obvious to many. Coffee is obviously a wedge into an even broader market. If you can share, which other categories of products might you serve on Bottomless?

Hey Product Hunt! Maker here. We're a hardware company that's been bootstrapping for the last few years. We've recently been funded to and are hitting production, so we can launch publicly! For now, the scales are still 3D printed, though, so the next few hundred customers will get the last batch of our OG Bottomless scales. *Some frequently asked questions:* Q: What if I store my coffee in a container? A: The scale can be zeroed with a container on top! Q: Do I get warned before my card is charged? A: Yes! we send a warning email (texts coming soon) at least 8 hours before orders are placed. Q: What if I use a grinder with a hopper? A: A ton of our customers do this. It works perfectly fine, just don't pour more than a quarter of a bag into the hopper at a time. Q: How long does the battery last? A: Our newest version should last 12-18 months. Q: Where do you ship? A: Anywhere in the USA. Q: What about other products? A: 😉... I’ve been using Bottomless for the last couple of months, and it is *so* good. I never have to worry about running out of my precious Caffe Vita Queen City Blend again. Highly recommended!

I've been using it for a month now and this product is like a dope version of a dash button. In a weird way, its so good that I totally forget it exists. I take my bottomless for granted like I do running water. I have a never ending supply of fresh coffee...wow.

"Don't make me think" for coffee, done right. Highly recommend!

Pros:

- Never have to worry about being out of coffee when I wake up in the morning ☕️ - High quality, freshly roasted coffee 🤤

Cons:

I have a rotating subscription but got the same (really good) coffee three times in a row. Looking forward to discovering some new ☕️

Would love to have this, but for my preferred coffee roaster.

I'm hugely skeptical of box/subscription services. All too often you get a bunch of overpriced crap that you wind up throwing out. That isn't Bottomless. Bottomless is amazing. I used to drive 20 minutes to a local coffee shop to get nice coffee beans for my morning cup. No more. Now I just have it magically show up at my door right when I need it. The variety of coffee to choose from is great, and I can either decide exactly what I want to get or be surprised within a space of coffee I'm actually interested in. The selection of roasters is great too. I only go for single origin beans so it's great to have the option of Olympia Coffee (my fave), Bird Rock, Anchorhead, etc. This is the only subscription service I have and it's amazing. Highly recommended!

Pros:

What a subscription delivery service should be. Great coffee delivered right when you need it with no hassle.

Cons:

Add even more roasters!

Scale works like a charm and I literally never go out and buy coffee, it just arrives when I need it. Great device.
