Blurify - Blur Sensitive Data Instantly

I'm James, the maker of Blurify.

As someone who frequently creates screen recordings and live demos, I was always paranoid about accidentally exposing sensitive information. That's why I built Blurify – to make blurring things live in the browser incredibly simple.

What started as a basic tool has now grown into a more powerful suite of features, designed to give you precise control over what you hide.

Key Features:

✍️ Text Blur (Auto-Blur Mode): Our signature feature. Just toggle this mode on, and any text you highlight with your mouse blurs instantly and automatically. Perfect for hiding names, emails, or paragraphs on the fly.

🖼️ Area Blur: Need to hide more than just text? Activate Area Blur mode. Your cursor turns into a crosshair, allowing you to click and drag to draw a blur rectangle over any part of the page—images, input fields, or entire sections.

🎚️ Blur Intensity: One size doesn't fit all. Use the simple slider in the popup to adjust the blur strength, from a gentle haze to a completely unreadable block. Fine-tune the look to match your presentation style.

Just to share a bit more, this project is something I built to practice my coding skills. I'm not a professional developer, and this isn't my main source of income. Blurify is a passion project born from solving my own problem and learning along the way.

The extension is completely free for everyone to use. My main goal today is to get your valuable feedback to learn and improve.
