I'm considering starting a newsletter for Bitgrain, basically a design newsletter, design updates and stuff, is it a worth it idea? does that interest people? If you have some experience with it, would love to know :)

I think it’s worth testing, but I’d make it less “design updates” and more “show your thinking while building a design tool.”
For Bitgrain specifically, useful newsletter issues could be: one poster/template teardown, why a template works, what changed after user feedback, and a tiny before/after from the product. That gives people a reason to subscribe even if they don’t need a product update that week.
The main thing I’d avoid is turning it into a changelog. A good design newsletter should build taste and trust; the product updates can sit inside that.
@jim_jeffers Thanks for the wise words, will keep in mind of these points: ) Hope to start doing this soon!

@jim_jeffers from my perspective, I think starting a newsletter is worth it if I have even small insights to share. I don’t need to be an expert.

@jim_jeffers@rahul_manjhi1 I feel a newsletter is worth starting if I want to build deeper connections rather than just followers. I’ve noticed email readers are more engaged.
