Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Bram, founder of Baserow.

Baserow started as an open-source alternative to Airtable — giving teams full control over their data, with the freedom to self-host and extend the platform however they want.

Today, we’re launching Baserow 2.0, a big step forward that brings together databases, applications, automations, AI agent building and vibe no-coding in one secure, open-source platform.

What’s new:

• Automations Builder (beta): Build no-code workflows to eliminate manual steps.

• Kuma, your AI assistant: Chat in plain language to create databases, formulas, views, forms and automations using an LLM of your choice.

• AI + Automations: Combine LLMs and workflow logic to build smart workflows including AI agents.

• Application Builder: Create custom apps directly on top of your data.

Baserow 2.0 is open-source and available on Cloud or on premise. GDPR, HIPAA and SOC 2 type 2 compliant for all users.

I've been using Baserow for a long time, both at my company and on personal projects, and I have to say it's the best API-first database solution. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's new in version 2.0 😆

I've been using Baserow as my go-to database solution for AI workflows in n8n. It's user-friendly, so I can share it with non-technical people who can easily understand what's going on, while also providing a strong technical base to build on, such as their API and n8n nodes. Would recommend!

The combo of AI, automations, and app-building in an open-source stack looks super powerful.

Quick question: do you expose APIs or webhooks for integrating these automations with external tools? Would love to explore how it fits into existing workflows.

I love the updates. Congrats! AI powered and open source is so powerful for so many. Being able to roll these kinds of apps out quickly and still own it (and completely control the data) is a huge value prop. Is it bring your own keys for AI models?
