Bank Statement Converter - Bank statement PDFs to Excel, without uploading them

by•
Convert PDF bank statements to Excel or CSV for free, with no sign-up. The PDF is read in your browser, so your statement never reaches a server. It handles debit/credit columns, DR/CR markers and running balances, opens password-protected PDFs, and lets you review every transaction before downloading. Dates that could be DD/MM or MM/DD are flagged so you can switch. A Portuguese version for Brazilian banks also exports OFX.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 Every month someone asks their bank for a CSV and gets a PDF instead. The usual fix is an online converter, which means uploading a document with your account number, balance and a month of spending to a stranger's server. So we built one that doesn't upload anything. Bank Statement Converter reads the PDF in your browser (pdf.js plus a parser that understands common statement layouts) and gives you Excel or CSV. You can check it in DevTools: no request carries the file. A few details we cared about: • It handles debit/credit columns, DR/CR markers, "Deposits / Withdrawals" sections and a running balance, and leaves the balance and total rows out • When a date could be read as either DD/MM or MM/DD, it tells you and lets you switch • Amounts whose direction it couldn't determine are outlined, and one click flips them • Password-protected PDFs work; scanned ones don't (no OCR, and we'd rather say so) It's free with no sign-up. There's also a Portuguese version for Brazilian banks that exports OFX for accounting systems. I'd love to hear which bank's layout trips it up. That's the most useful feedback for us right now.
