Listening to frequent requests of our clients seeking a simple and user-friendly way of extending native Jira time-tracking functionalities, we decided to develop our own interpretation of Jira work logging. Although there are several Jira worklog extension solutions already available on Atlassian Marketplace, our clients complained on their complexity and time required to learn and start using them. On top of Jira native worklog experience, Worklog express introduces: 1. Ability to create user-defined worklog types and categorize your worklogs 2. A well known Jira scheme concept which can assign your worklog types to defined set of Jira projects 3. A quick entry form - a fast way to enter worklogs on JQL defined set of issues not having to enter each ticket individually. It’s a grid like interface which shows overviews of spent hours in a defined date range and lets you add new or edit existing worklogs. You can use it as a good invoicing source because it offers you an easy and quick way to correct or add worklogs in a defined date range. You can read a user story on using quick entry form here: https://end2end.atlassian.net/wi... 4. Project related worklog reports 5. Worklog raw data export - There are lot of worklog reports available, but it is impossible to suite everyone needs so we decided to have a different approach. You can combine and join issue related data with raw worklog data (worklog date, worklog type, billable or nonbillable, worklog author, etc.), export it to excel and you will get everything you need to create reports and pivots which you can later use as an invoicing. You can read and find more details about the Worklog express concept on: https://end2end.atlassian.net/wi... We are planning to add more functionalities, but before that we want to collect as much feedback as possible before adding additional complexity. The whole idea is to keep it simple and lite. I would really like to hear your opinion and collect as much feedback as possible. All suggestions are more than welcome. What do you think about it? Is it simple enough and does it solve your worklogging problems? Are you getting any value by using it? Please give it a try and let us know what you think, there is a free trial available on Atlassian marketplace.
