Building an AI-powered Astrology App — Looking for Feedback

Hi everyone,
I’m currently building an AI-powered astrology app and wanted to share what I’m working on and get some honest feedback.

The idea started because most astrology apps today either feel outdated, too complex, or focused only on consultations. I wanted to build something that is simple, intelligent, and actually useful, where users can understand their birth chart and ask real life questions.

The app will allow users to:

• Generate birth charts (Vedic + Western)

• Kundali matching

• Numerology insights

• Daily & yearly horoscope

• Sade Sati & transit analysis

• Shubh Muhurat & Panchang

• Sunrise / Sunset & Rahu Kaal

• Astrology AI (ask questions about career, marriage, etc.)

• Baby names based on nakshatra

• Gemstone suggestions

• Tarot reading

• Astrology blog & learning section

The main focus is AI-based astrology, where users can ask questions like:

• When will I get married?

• Is this a good time to change jobs?

• How is my financial period?

…and get personalized responses based on their chart.

Why I think there's a big opportunity

Astrology is huge in India. Millions of people check:

• daily horoscope

• kundali matching

• muhurat

• numerology

Even globally, astrology apps like Co–Star and others have millions of users.

In India specifically:

• marriage matching is still very common

• muhurat & panchang are widely used

• people prefer mobile apps for quick checks

But most apps either:

• look outdated

• show generic content

• push paid consultations

I’m trying to build something modern + AI-driven + user-first.

Market Scope

From what I researched:

• Astrology app market globally is worth billions

• India is one of the largest astrology-consuming markets

• Users come back daily, so retention is high

• Monetization options:

  • premium features

  • AI chat credits

  • reports

  • ads

So this space has both high engagement + strong monetization.

My Goal

Build a clean, intelligent astrology app where:

• charts are accurate

• insights are simple

• AI makes astrology understandable

Not trying to replace astrologers - just making astrology more accessible.
