It would be pretty cool if users could get credit/commission for leading people to book rooms/experiences based on the content they create.

I agree with the community. This should be part of experiences feature and promoted by hosts. There is nothing like providing immersive experience of what it can be for would be travelers. Travelers already share their stories on instagram+facebook/snapchat. Discovering and sharing is their main business model, so it's easier for in-network and outside-network to experience the stories. Not sure whether AirBnb can replicate that.
