AffordWhere 2.0 - Know what your salary is really worth, in 250 cities

by•
What's new since the first launch: 45 countries (up from 32) and 250 cities (up from 100+), each with its own tax engine and rent ranges for 1,400+ real neighbourhoods. A new data study shows the gross salary one person needs to live comfortably in every city. City-vs-city comparisons now lead with the real monthly cost gap. Results links keep your salary after the # so it never reaches our server. Still free, no account, every source named.

Hey Product Hunt, Hitesh here, back eight months after the first launch. AffordWhere started with a personal problem: comparing job offers across countries is nearly impossible. Salary sites don't know about tax, cost-of-living sites don't know about salaries, and both usually run on averages nobody can trace. What changed since the first launch: • 45 countries and 250 cities (it was 32 and 100+), each with its own tax engine: income tax, social contributions, and special regimes like the Dutch 30% ruling. • Rent ranges for 1,400+ real neighbourhoods, not one city-wide average. • A new data study: the gross salary one person needs to live comfortably in every city, after tax. • City-vs-city comparisons that lead with the actual monthly cost gap. • Results links now keep your salary after the # in the URL, so it never reaches our server. Google's ad script does see the page URL, and the privacy page says so plainly. One correction to my first-launch comment: I wrote that your salary "stays on your device". That wasn't accurate then. The privacy page now spells out exactly where figures go. Still free, no account, supported by ads. I'd love feedback, especially from anyone who has moved and can sanity-check their city.
