The biggest mistake retail stores make with foot traffic data

by

After working with dozens of physical stores, I’ve noticed one huge mistake: they treat visitor counts as the end goal, not a starting point.

Knowing “100 people came in today” means nothing if you don’t know how many of them bought something, or why the rest left.

Have you seen this happen in your own work? What’s the most useful way you’ve seen stores use foot traffic data?
