Summarize your Slack
This newsletter was brought to you byElevenLabsGist offers a way to waste less time on Slack
We’ve all been there, back from a vacation, refreshed and ready to take on the week with renewed motivation. Until you open Slack and realize you have to spend a whole day catching up on a seemingly endless list of threads.
The Gist wants to fix that. It’s a Slack plugin that uses generative AI to quickly summarize channels and threads into bite-sized pieces of information so you can get up to speed and focus on your work.
Once you install the plugin, anytime you’re overloaded with information, you can type the command /gist and hit enter to receive a summary of everything important. The Gist has a number of use cases ranging from keeping track of your conversations during Zoom meetings to getting a daily digest of all your most important channels every morning, and more.
Founder and CTO, Itay Dressler says there's more to come as well. In responding to Ryan Hoover's comment about auto-responding to DMs, Itay hinted that such a feature is on the way.
If you’re like us, you’re constantly looking for tools to make your remote workplace. We got you covered:
- Swach Discord lets you easily leave channels that aren’t relevant to you in an instant
- Vowel lets you transcribe, record, and clip your meetings in one place. They just launched 2.0
- AgreeTo makes meeting scheduling a breeze by automatically sharing your availability in plain text
- Zigi examines your Jira & GitHub activity, figures out what needs your attention and sends you actionable, real-time help from Slack.
So we’re just… talking to software now?

ElevenLabs has been the go-to for voice for a while. Now they've turned that expertise into agents that actually get things done. You set one up, it talks like a real person, listens, responds, and helps handle the task — support calls, bookings, whatever the job is. Not a demo, not a "press 1 for sales" situation. It's ready to deploy. Feels like one of those shifts where the interface quietly changes. Less typing, less clicking, more just saying what needs to happen and letting it play out.
