Verso Day 26 β Cmd+K universal search live across every tool. The week everything connected.
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) a workspace OS replacing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Notion, and Visio with one AI-native environment. Week 5 was the week Verso stopped being a collection of tools and became a connected platform. What shipped: Cmd+K universal search one command palette across every tool. Docs, Spreadsheets, Folio, Decks, Forms, Canvas, Process Flows. Full-text search with a fuzzy fallback for short queries. Results grouped by type. Picking a result takes you exactly to the right document, sheet ... ... presentation templates with real starter graphs. The product that existed last week had great individual tools. The product that exists today connects all of them. What is the feature that would make you switch from Notion to something else?

Verso Day 23 β why we are designing a Universal Object Model even though the product already works
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) a workspace OS replacing your fragmented tool stack with one AI-native environment. Today was direction-setting. Had a conversation with a co-founder about where the product goes next and landed on a concept we are calling the Universal Object Model. The question that started it: Verso has Notes, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Forms, Canvas, Folio all working, all real-time. But each one is its own island. What if they were not? What the Universal Object Model ... ... draw connections across tools. The product already works. The UOM is what makes it a platform. Curious do you think cross-tool linking is something people would actually use day to day, or is it a power-user feature?

Do you dedicate full weeks to testing existing features before building new ones? Here is why I do.
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) a workspace OS replacing your fragmented tool stack with one AI-native environment. This whole week is what I call a consolidation week. No new features. Just going through every piece of what already exists clicking every button, testing every flow, finding what is broken and fixing it before moving on. Most builders skip this. The pull to keep shipping new things is real. But I have seen too many products where 10 features exist ... ... about. It is the difference between a product that feels polished and one that does not. Do you dedicate time to this kind of consolidation work, or do you test as you go? Curious how other builders handle it.

What makes a form builder actually good to use? Asking while building one into Verso.
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) a workspace OS that brings Notes, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Canvas, and an AI-native IDE into one place. Today I started building dynamic form creation into Verso. The idea: create any form data entry, surveys, internal workflows directly inside your workspace, connected to a spreadsheet or database, no code required. It is not finished yet but the foundation is in. Which got me thinking about what actually makes a form builder worth using day to day. TypeForm nailed ... ... experience. Google Forms nailed the simplicity. Most others feel like neither. What is the one thing a form builder has to get right for you to actually use it over just sending a Google Form link?

Verso Day 16 β everything is now real-time. All of it.
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) a workspace OS replacing your fragmented tool stack with one AI-native environment. Real-time collaboration week is complete. Notes real-time Docs real-time Spreadsheets real-time Presentations real-time Canvas real-time Folio real-time Every tool in Verso now syncs live. Multiple users, one document, always on the latest version. Also polished the share modal UX one clear flow to invite teammates and manage access. Sharing should be the easiest thing in the product ... ... days from a blank schema to a fully real-time collaborative workspace OS. Question for the community: What is the one moment that makes you actually trust a collaboration tool enough to use it with your whole team?

Verso Day 15 β real-time Canvas collaboration shipped, Folio sync issues resolved
... drawaring is not good! Day 15 of building Verso (
projectoye.com
) A workspace OS replacing your fragmented tool stack with one AI-native environment. Hectic day. Good hectic. Real-time Canvas Done The design canvas in Verso (think Canva, built-in) now supports live collaboration . Multiple users same canvas same time. Drag Resize Create Everything stays in sync . Folio Sync Issues Fixed Folio (Verso s notebook tool think OneNote, but smarter) had some real-time edge cases. Those are now fully ... ... sizes Z-order layers Multiple properties per element Every single property must sync not just content. Question For those who have built collaborative canvas tools: How did you handle sync for freeform element positioning without jitter on slower connections?

Verso Day 13 β real-time collaboration week begins.
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) A workspace OS replacing your fragmented tool stack with one AI-native environment. This week is real-time collaboration week. The goal: Bidirectional editing across Notes, Docs, Spreadsheets, and Presentations where every user always sees the latest version. No refresh. No merge conflicts. No who has the latest copy. What I did today: Audited the current state of the app to identify exactly where the collaboration layer needs to plug in. Then shipped the first visible piece ... ... signal: the real-time layer is now alive in Verso. Question for builders: If you have built real-time sync before what was the hardest part? Conflict resolution Presence Initial state sync when a new user joins

Verso Day 10 β admin panel progress, Grid enhancements, and an agentic workspace on the horizon
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) A workspace OS that brings Notes, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Process Flows, and an AI-native IDE into one place. What happened today: Continued work on the team admin panel Member management, roles, permissions took longer than expected. Tightening everything before moving ahead. Started enhancing Grid (personal infinite canvas) Your private space inside Verso: Notes Kanban AI blocks Web search Mind maps All on an infinite canvas. Only you can see it. No sharing. What I am most excited ... ... errors Suggests next steps Runs in the background That is what think without limits actually means at the product level. Question: What does an agentic workspace mean to you? Is it something you would actually use day to day?

Verso Day 8 β I found exposed API keys during a security audit. Here is what I did.
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) A workspace OS that brings Notes, Spreadsheets, Presentations, and an AI-native IDE into one environment. Today did not go as planned. I ran a security audit on the APIs and found that OpenAI keys were exposed. The whole day turned into a deep audit checking every endpoint, every environment variable, every place a key could leak. Not the day I wanted. Exactly the day I needed. For anyone building AI-native products: How are you managing ... ... security across dev, staging, and production environments? Secrets manager Env variables Something else? Would genuinely love to hear what others are doing.

Verso Day 7 β RBAC, tenant invitations, and why I am building security into the foundation
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) A workspace OS replacing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Notion with one AI-native environment. Today s progress: Extended the multi-tenant schema implementation Added RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) Built the email invitation flow to invite users into a tenant Current challenge: When building RBAC for a multi-workspace product, where should roles be enforced? Workspace level? Organization level? Or both? My current approach is both but the complexity increases quickly. Would love to hear how others ... ... have approached this.

Building multi-tenant workspaces in PostgreSQL β what would you do differently?
... building Verso (
projectoye.com
) A workspace OS that brings Notes, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Process Flows, and an AI-native IDE into one place. Today was a schema day . No UI. No demos. Just PostgreSQL and hard decisions. What I worked on Verso needs to support: Solo users Teams Enterprises all from the same codebase . That means the schema must handle: Tenant isolation (no data bleed between organizations ever) Multiple workspaces per tenant User roles that vary by workspace (not just tenant-level ... ... application layer as a belt-and-suspenders approach ? Looking for insights If you have shipped a multi-tenant SaaS on Postgres , I would love to know: What do you wish you had done differently at the schema stage?

alternatives
to Product Hunt: https://www.tetriz.io/blog/top-4... So far I have been covering MicroLaunch, Fazier, BetaList & AppSumo. Which other platform do you think deserves to be mentioned?
