I m sure you ve also found something that caught your eye, actually helped you, or just made you smile while using it.

It started as a fun side project, but it got me thinking about micro-delight in everyday tools. Sometimes small, playful elements can make long browsing or coding sessions feel lighter.

We keep seeing things like AI and LLM. But I'm happy about technology products that go beyond the occasional. For example, today I read that Aura is introducing a $499 e-ink digital photo frame that allows you to work without a cable.

Remember when products designed for consumers unexpectedly revolutionized how businesses operate? For example, Discord started as a chat app for gamers but is now essential for remote teams.

Its journey from gaming-focused platform to business tool is fascinating:

• Originally built for gamers needing low-latency communication

• Features like server organization, voice channels, and role permissions were perfect for gaming

• Discord thrived during the pandemic as businesses discovered its community-building strengths worked brilliantly for remote collaboration

• Now powers everything from customer communities to virtual events

And now I don't mean yours, but someone else's launches. :)

Which ones caught your attention the most, and can you specify why?

When it comes down to hardware my X feed is filled with two types of designs.

• Retro/nostalgic 2000's hardware that was defined by Gameboy translucent purples, Colorful macs, Sony's beautiful eclectic electronics, and embracing colors that pop like pink, purple, and orange.

• Sleek, modern, simple designs like the @Humane AI pin, @Limitless, @Friend, or the @omi.

I personally miss the fun days where consumer tech was wacky. Think Tamagotchi, Mini Clips, PSPs, and clear-shelled devices. I do see some like @Burner that have brought back some fun design but I'm curious... what does everyone think?
Should we bring back the weird or embrace the sleek, simple, and modern?
