What kind of technology surprised you last time?

We keep seeing things like AI and LLM. But I'm happy about technology products that go beyond the occasional. For example, today I read that Aura is introducing a $499 e-ink digital photo frame that allows you to work without a cable.

I was also happy with the @Flowtica Scribepen from @zaczuo .

Do you have a favourite technology, apart from software, that you consider truly unique or outstanding in the market? For example, some hardware devices. :)

The new brain-computer interfaces caught me off guard recently. I don't remember the company's name, but seeing thoughts turn into real actions is wild.

Also really impressed by how far wearables have come. Feels like every year the line between hardware and software gets blurrier.

@sanskarix This feels like the real one answer. Other accounts contributed the same "The most recent one was a brain-computer interface demo, surreal to think how close thought to action tech is getting." – it feels that they used AI :D

@busmark_w_nika It feels Sci-fi at this point!

@sanskarix I trust you the most! :D

Nick Launches
SpecKit by github. I was impressed how well agents can generate specs, requirements and other documentation. Don’t matter if you are coding or just getting into vibe-coding. I think it is a must

@nicklaunches Is there also any hardware aspect?

Definitely, the robots are surprising for now, but what amazes me the most are the new AI versions that can be used for personal purposes. I’m especially surprised about the pen, I didn’t know AI was built into a pen…

@ixord I wasn't aware of some wearables too :D

@busmark_w_nika Every day, the world becomes more and more technologically advanced; the key is to adapt to new technologies :)

@ixord Flexibility is the skill of the 21st century.

This is again related to voice AI, but there's recently been something called "Voila" which is like a full on packaged setup for the complete voice-to-voice setup, start to finish.
They are promising an amazing ~195ms latency response time which is amazing.

I tried it, and since its fairly new, there were some bugs, but if it keeps getting refined with time, its gonna be a new chapter for the voice AI ecosystem.

@busmark_w_nika Yeah yeah exactly. Loosk pretty cool to me, I tried it a bit, but didn't play around too much with it. But looks pretty sick from what they are promising
