    Dark Sky

Weather app that predicts when it will rain or snow

    Kate52Head of Social @ GitHub · Written
I love Dark Sky so much. It's the most beautiful, helpful and reliable weather app I've come across. Every morning when I'm standing in front of my closet wondering "wtf should I wear today?" I pull out my phone, look at Dark Sky, and based on the weather, plan things out from there. Thanks to this app, I'm always comfortable and weather-appropriate 💁☂️

Dark Sky tells me, at 6:45, what the weather is gonna be like for the day. It also tells you ~15 minutes before it's going to rain. Makes it so that I don't have to think about weather anymore.

While I want to like this app, I don't find it to be more useful or compelling as a weather app than 1Weather, WeatherBug, or The Weather Channel apps.

    Headspace 2.0

Meditation made simple in just 10 minutes a day

Jake Crump5Community Team with Product Hunt · Written
I use this every morning for meditation. I originally didn't think that it'd make much of a difference, but I absolutely couldn't go back now. Before starting any kind of work, it's best to make sure your mind's in the right space. This will help you do just that. It starts with 10 free days and then moves to a paid subscription. Do the 10 days and you'll definitely be hooked.

Starting out the morning by being in control of my day is super important. I'm pretty new to Headspace, but really enjoying it so far. Definitely worth trying it out.

This is the first and only app I pay for :D Sometimes it can feel like a chore to do stuff that is good for you and this app takes that away for me. I teaches you gently and pleasantly and Ive been able to stick to it and understand more about how minds work. It helped me stop biting my nails.

It's not an app (but I think there also is an app for it), but it really boosts me every morning. It simply improves you life :)

Love how calming a guided meditation using this app this. I've tried most of the top meditation apps and have stuck to this one alone.

Just a great way to start my day. Excellent choice if you're into understanding the Bible better. The orator/owner also adds his insight to the daily reading which brings better understanding.

I love the 7 minute workout to kickstart the day. It's short enough to not be off putting when all you really want to do is hit snooze, but is a great way to wake you up and start the day feeling energised.

An amazing collection of guided meditations. Pay once and listen to all the recordings forever. The teachers are great and using the app is a nice experience overall. If you'd like to add meditation to your morning routine this app will definitely help.

Technically you use this while you sleep, but it's the BEST alarm clock ever. It tracks your sleep, so I can see how many hours I got and watch for trends to help me sleep better. It's always the first app I look at when I wake up.

    Aware

    Your personal mindfulness trainer

I use it every morning when I wake up to meditate. No matter how I've slept it helps me reset and get a great start on my day. I've recently started to exercise after I meditate in the morning and this makes for an even greater start on my day, clearing my mind and boosting my energy from the get-go.

  18. Mobile security is more and more important nowadays, that’s why I think no matter who you are, what you do. You will need an app to protect your phone! I am using this app called ‘AppLock’, which is amazing because it can lock all of my apps, images even videos. This app is always on my list when it comes to app recommendation. The one thing that I like the most about this app is that it can take photos of the person who’s trying to unlock your phone! This feature is really funny because I always got the intruder selfie notification from my kids. They are trying really hard to unlock my phone for video games. If you are a cautious people, you really do need one of this app.
