The switch from B2C to B2B

I've always been a B2C founder. I've built an app to 100k+ MAU and sold it to a major company. I'm now building a tool called Modu.io to help businesses collect user feedback, taking directly from my own struggles (I got so frustrated with existing tools that I ended up using a single Google form).

I'm not particularly suffering the switch on the building side, I'm actually enjoying it since I'm more interested in using this tool myself, than I was with the B2C one. What I'm finding myself (sort of) uncomfortable at is the distribution/marketing side. I've launched on a bunch of ProductHunt like websites, ended up first on Uneed yesterday (didn't get much traffic-wise honestly), and bought a couple features on some of them as they were relatively cheap.

The #1 reason startup ideas score low (it's not competition)

1,400+ ideas have been tested by entrepreneurs on the platform so far. 9 out of 10 scored below 70.

Most founders worry about competition. But only 7.3% of low scores flagged competitive pressure as the top risk.

The actual #1 killer: no distribution plan. 30.3%.

Wrong question: "Is someone already doing this?"

New PH member/builder

Hi everyone,

It been o month since I created an account and start being kinda active to PH. I knew platform for the past few years but never created an account before. What motivated me to do it? With all the progress in AI I decided to move from building in real world ( I am an agronomist), to start building what I need or think as useful to exist, as tech/app products. For fun, but you never know...

Are the best startups built on boring problems?

I came to exactly the same conclusion that real startup ideas often come from simple and boring problems. From my own experience: I spent three years on a startup that was supposed to revolutionize online education, but in the end it had 0 users. Now I ve just started solving a simple problem for home appliance repair technicians and immediately got my first paying users on a very rough MVP.

1000 Day Streak on Product Hunt

Today marks my 1 0 0 0 day streak in on product hunt - wow does time fly

The last 2.7 years have been insane From discovering awesome products (built by SF legends) to actually launching 2 products myself and winning 2x product of the month awards a golden kitty with @Clustr and now being nominated for an orbit award with @Trace feels unreal. Not only did my team go through the ups and downs, but we persevered and survived two top tier accelerators with @500 Startups & @Y Combinator - gotta catch them all

What's the best AI model for coding?

New AI models pop up every week. Some developer tools like @Cursor, @Zed, and @Kilo Code let you choose between different models, while more opinionated products like @Amp and @Tonkotsu default to 1 model.

Curious what the community recommends for coding tasks? Any preferences?

Can a large Product Hunt community help you with a product launch?

This is something I ll find out in just a short while, one week from now (Jan 28), as I m about to re-launch a digital detox app. If you want, follow, maybe you will be on watch of my steps and activities

However, that s not the main point of this post.

⚡ 10 New Problems to Build a Startup | ProblemHunt

1. The lack of a service that creates hyper-personalized, gamified English courses (in the Duolingo format) for narrow professional niches (e.g., for a barista in a vegan coffee shop or a startup founder.

2. Automating cross-posting of an indie hacker's technical content across multiple platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Product Hunt) while adhering to each platform's best practices.

What does ‘vibe coding’ help you ship?

Hey PH family.

Been part of this community for years now, and if there's one place to talk with builders, this is it.

What’s Your Vibe Coding Stack in 2025?

AI dev tools are evolving crazy fast , every few weeks there s a new must-try for vibe coders.

Some people are building full products with @ChatGPT by OpenAI and @Replit , others swear by @Cursor and @Claude by Anthropic , and a few are mixing @Lovable + @v0 by Vercel + @bolt.new to ship apps in record time.

I ve been refining my own vibe stack lately, trying to find that sweet spot between speed, control, and creativity.
It made me wonder ,what does your setup look like right now?

What's still missing from vibe coding tools?

Vibe coding tools have been making huge improvements, but things can always get better.

What blockers are you still running into? What has no one solved yet? What do you wish you could do, but can't yet?

What was the very first project you vibecoded with AI?

On Product Hunt, I can see many people launching their products using "vibe-coding tools" like @Lovable , @bolt.new , or@Replit

I reckon many people who created something with them are usually developers who didn't have enough time for building a side idea before, but with AI, they could make it happen.
